I had a lap/hys/HSG 12 days ago, and I'm on CD4 today. AF turned up right on time after the operation, but has been continuously, and unusually, heavy from day one. Very, very unusual for me. I'm wondering if this is because of the op.? Any experiences?
I'm also on the pill (beginning of 3rd cycle), but this hasn't happened in the past.

Just wanted to let you know I had the same surgery in Jan, and the same thing happened to me - AF was right on time, but quite painful - and very very heavy for longer than normal.
The 2nd and even 3rd AF afterwards were quite heavy too (Not as much as the first, though). These ones weren't painful though.
My OB said to expect it - and I guess its good (however annoying;), as its an exceptional clean out of everything horrible in there!!!)

It makes sense, and I thought it must have something to do with the lap, but better to ask than assume! Luckily for me it was half as painful as normal, a nice break from the usual cramps I get. Though maybe it just seemed less painful after the pain from the lap! Either way, I didn't suffer as much, so :dance: I am happy.
I'm just glad that everything bad is coming out of my system, and I can get on with the baby-making process.
