If I don't get my BFP this month, I have to go and have a Hy Co Sy.
Just wondering what I can expect during this procedure, and if it means that I have to not "try" in the cycle I get the test done.
I have a quick chat to the testing place and they said to get it done between CD5-12, and that I should be able to work on the day I get it done, but I just wanted to get some first hand experience if any one can assist!

I had a hy co sy in December 06 and it was easy. I took two naprogesic just before as advised and only had a tiny bit of cramping afterwards but was fine to go back to work. The procedure itself was as unglamourous as all fertility treatments tend to be but definitely nothing too uncomfortable. They made sure I wasn't UTD before the test by doing it pre ovulation and actually said that it improved my chances for that cycle as the very nature of the test can help clear any minor blockages you might have in your fallopian tubes. I was not advised to stop "trying" that month at all.

I had mine done about 33 weeks ago...I'm now 30 weeks pregnant!!!
We got our first BFP ever (after 3 years of trying), the cycle of the hy co sy...it was also my first cycle of clomid...so don't know exactly what did the trick...but something did!

As you know I have to have a HyCoSy as well, just waiting for AF to arrive so it can be done!!
I've been told to have it between CD5 and CD9 and to take a couple of nurofen 30 mins before. We haven't been told we can't TTC that cycle as we will be having O tracking BT's done during the cycle.

Thanks Girls! It is great to hear first hand examples, and especially successful ones (thanks Monnie!). It does make it easier to go into a procedure knowing what to expect. I am also pleased that it doesnt mean I have to have a month off.
