35 weeks and morning sickness getting worse!
Hi everyone,
All through my pregnancy I've had morning sickness and I've been on maxolon for it since early in the second trimester when things didn't start to clear up - I'm 35 weeks now. For the past couple of weeks despite still taking maxolon my nausea and vomiting have got worse. My Obs says ( very sympathetically) "tough luck" and I just have to put up with it but I am wondering if something is going wrong. Maybe the maxolon has stopped working, or maybe the hormones have got so bad they overwhelm this med - I just don't know. I can't brush my teeth at all without gagging and vomiting - it would be sheer luxury to have a fresh tasting mouth again. I wake during the night to vomit bile - its absolutely apalling. It really affects my mood and I have had severe depression before and am fearful of that coming back - as well as my concerns over keeping my medication down, and the health and growth of my baby.
Does anyone have any advice or similar experiences? Am I to expect it to get worse over the ensueing weeks? Or could it clear up? Do I need to see my gp about it?
Thanks heaps for your thoughts.
