I would let them know that you may be pregnant... they could possibly check for a baby first....
Id maybe just mention it to the sonographer before they do the u/s?

But i doubt that they would see one. I am probably too early to even show up in a test at this stage.
No, it won't hurt your baby if it's a routine u/sound (either abdominal or internal). I had one done when I was JUST 4 weeks prg and there was absolutely nothing to see although they noticed my endometrium was nice and thick which led them to believe I may have been prg (and I was, had a blood test done that day).
My doc refered me for an ultrasound of the overies - I think I had to fill in a form at the clinic and ticked a box saying I could be pregnant. I had both abdominal & internal and on the internal there was something there - the report said "early gestational sac?" - I would have been about 3.5 weeks at the time - doctor got the report and rang me to say do a HPT.
That was a question I had wondered about too, thanks loopylulu ! I have an internal US booked in a few weeks and hoping for a BFP soooooooooooon.
