6 Week Ultrasound...
I had a ultrasound today (external) and according to the sac measurments I am 6 weeks 2 days pregnant which also coincides with my HCG levels. I was sent for an ultrasound to date my pregnancy cause I hadnt really taken note of the date of my LMP. But anyway at the ultrasound all that could be seen was the sack and the sonographer told me that is was normal not to see a heartbeat at this stage due to the embreyo being so tiny. Is that right? God I hope so.

Yep...that is right...
Often you don't see the heartbeat until after 7 weeks...
Wishing you all the very best...

I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks and they were able to detect a heartbeat but before I went in they told me not to be concerned at all if they couldn't find one just yet as the baby may be too small still.

yes normal.. I went for a scan when I thought I was 7 w 3 d but the sono said I was only 5w 2 d but could still see a flicker.. a scan 3 weeks later showed I was actually 10w 2 d. the baby was just to hard to see at the previous scan ad I would have been 6w 6d or something like that..

Yes it is normal, don't stress at all.

Hi, it's not normal to see a heartbeat at 6 weeks.
Mine showed up at 7 weeks though. Try not to worry, it's perfectly normal.
You'll be fine ;)

as the other girls have said it is totally normal. I had my dating scan at 8 weeks and i was able to hear heartbeat but sonographer said a week or 2 earlier this may not have been possible.... enjoy your pregnancy and good luck!

Oh thanks god, thanks everybody for the positive words and thoughts. I wasn't even having any symptoms until today. I woke up and I felt so sick. I have never been so glad to want to vomit in my life lol.
Love,
Nicole

yep totally normal. I had an internal ultrasound, and only found a sac.
Goodluck with the morning sickness. Remember eat a ginger nut biscuit before you get out of bed. Gives your body an automatic sugar hit.
Goodluck!!

Hi FOB2B
I didnt have my first scan until 10 weeks as my ob refuses to them any earlier as it just causes heartache for the mother if there is no heartbeat. He said it is very common not to hear a heartbeat until about 8 weeks.
