Another worry
I went the the diabities clinic on friday, as usual my insulin has been upped again. They took my blood pressure as well and it was a little bit high, usually mine is about 120 over 70, at the clninc it was 130 over 70, then the next day at my antinatal app. it was 135 over 75, so I guess it's a tiny bit higher, I'm pretty sure they class, 140 over whatever high.
Now I'm doing a 24 hour unrine test (ick) I have to put all my pee over 24 hours in a container, fun when you up 5 times a night to pee.
They're now checking my kidneys and looking for signs of preeclampsia. Now I'm worried about this. I'm so tired, I've only got 5 weeks and 2 days until I have this baby, I was hoping to sail through it  it's all getting too much.
oh yeah and at this visit I'd lost 2 kg's in the last 3 weeks, it the gd diet I'm on, the doctor wasn't worried by this though.
Has anyone else had high blood pressure and been ok?
Thanks

It sounds like they are just keeping an eye on you b/c of a few irregularities. I too lost weight whilst watching my sugars and my OBS wasn't worries either.
If you do have preeclampsia, they will possibly induce you early b/c of the risks to you and bubs. I am sure there would be some info/a thread on BB in relation to this.
I haven't got high blood pressure but I know some of the other ladies did whilst pg and some of them were just monitored, others were put on meds. Try not to worry too much at this stage, they are collecting your urine etc.... to figure out what is going on and what course of action, if any they will take.
Keep us updated, good luck

Hi Rose,
I had high blood pressure towards the end of my pregnancy with Briley. I was admitted once for monitoring and then sent home with the 24 hour urine test! So i can sympathise with you there!
My blood pressure went up and down over the last 3 weeks but was never high enough that i needed to be induced. I ended up going 6 days over with her!!
Just as long as it stays resonable low and you have no obvious signs of pre-eclampsia, you will be fine. Try not to stress to much about it. I am proof you can have PIH and still be fine.
Cheer up hun!
Fingers crossed it all smooths out. Good luck!
