MMR Booster needed for TTC #2?

I had a booster in December 2004 before we were TTC with DD.

So I was thinking about this and was wondering, do you think I would need to check my immunity again before TTC #2? Or do you think the booster in 2004 would have been enough?

I had my MMR vaccine in about 1997 and had a test the other day and all was ok. So it should be fine. But maybe get it checked just in case.

Nadine, if you had your booster in December 04 you should be ok. Don't stress on it hun. Good luck TTC too. Maybe for a short time we can have bellies together. You'd better grow fast. LOL.

sorry to crash your thread, but just a question I hope you can answer for me. I need to have the MMR booster as my immunity is very low (non-existent really) and was wondering, is there a specific time you need to wait after having the booster before falling pg?

Yep, my dr said the other day that if I did need it I had to wait 3 months after having it.

Hi Jody, yes you will have to wait 3 months, Sorry if thats not what you want to hear but it's better to be safe than sorry

That's ok Jodi :) And yes, like the others said, you have to wait 3 months after having the MMR before you can TTC.

My MMR is almost non-existent also. I was told this after DD#2. But at 10months old, we fell pregnant again. I didnt want to get the MMR whilst b/feeding either. When i deliver this baby dr's have said i am to have a MMR whilst in hossi.....

mbear, I initially found out that my MMR was low when I fell pg with Nina, but naughty me forgot about getting it after having her!! ooops!
What a bummer about having to wait 3 months, I was sort of hoping to start TTC again soon. Oh well, I guess mine & future babies health comes first.

Nadine, just wanted to say best wishes for TTC in July now! That's awesome!! ;) I hope I'm not too far behind now... we're thinking about moving it forward to August now, I am finding it so hard waiting.....

Thanks mbear and Ren :) It will be interesting to see how long it will take. We fell with Kayla on the fourth cycle. I did find out from the obs though that my uterus is inverted, so i think that might not have helped. Now that we know, we can try and get into the right position when TTC, PMSL :lol:

Ren- Oh August now. How exciting!!! Yes it can be hard waiting, expecially when it's your first.
