Hi ladies,
I'm not sure if it's ok to ask for recommendations on this forum, but DH and I are moving to Brisbane and I'm wondering if someone could recomend any IVF/fertility specialists. I've already been with repromed (SA) and had several investigations with no known cause for infertility found.
I also just completed my third cycle on clomid with no success. I'm feeling pretty heart broken and I'm terrified of IVF. However I'm 32 and time is ticking away...can anyone help???

Hi Liz sorry for your troubles so far I hope things look up soon. I see Dr Bob Watson with QFG @ everton park on brisbanes north. Where will u be living?

Hi Liz,
The Queensland Fertility Group has many specialist attached with them. Jump on the internet or call the QFG and see if they can recommend someone close to where you will be living.
My DH and I are seeing Dr Scott Salisbury at the Mater (close to the city) - if it helps.

We will be living in the Samford area and I'll be working near Cleveland so someone in those areas would be helpful. (especially if they come well recommended!). Do most places have w/e adn /or after hours appointments and are there long waiting lists???...I'll jump on the QLD fertility group website as suggested and see what else I can find.

Best of luck with your move. I'm a former Brisbane girl myself but unfortunately can't recommend a doc personally (I didn't have these problems in those days!) I have however heard great things about QFG. They are doing some very exciting work with older women (you're a youngie though) and I've read so many good recommendations about their staff. Hope you can get in touch with someone you like. Reproductive and IVF clinics generally have very flexible times for working with patients because they understand you have work and other commitments so I'm sure times won't be too much of an issue.
Can I make a recommendation that you get hold of a good book on infertility and it's solutions such as "Getting Pregnant" by Robert Jansen. It takes a lot of the fear of the unknown out of this whole process. It also explains IVF so that if you need to go through the process you will know what to expect. It really helped me. I've just been through my first cycle myself and was surprised at how easy and non-intrusive it actually was.

hi. i saw dr ross turner at the wesley hospital when i was ttc. he specialises in obstetrics and infertility. he has a huge 'fan base', in fact i have heard of quite a few couples that have seen him who are unrelated to me or my three other friends that use him as our obstetrician. his office is in the same building as the wesley ivf centre so it was just a quick choof off to get my injections when i needed them. very convenient!
i cant speak highly enough of him as he helped me concieve this little chicken.
