Getting around the bump
How do you get around the bump to:
- wash yourself properly
- zip up boots or lace up shoes
I sometimes wonder if there is some trick to do these more comfortably....
I could think of one other question re ways for getting around the bump but its probably too rude :p
-
Washing yourself - get creative with the direction of the shower nozzle!
Shoes - wear slip ons!
Other things - well you just have to give it a go and do what works!

Washing, I kind of bend, not very comfy. :( But then not much is ATM.
Shoes, I bend my leg out to the side & put them on sideways. Does that make sense? Like the position you cross your legs in, but just one leg at a time. But yes, slip ons as much as possible LOL!

Oh its soooo hard to get around the belly....
washing around the bump: Have a bath.. tha water will get everywhere!;) lol
Doing up shoes: get DP/DH to do them! I do.... i just cannot lift my legs due to the pain from my pelvis!
I also had to get him to shave my legs for me last week! hehe..... I just cant reach past my knees!
Hopefully it will be problem solvered in 3 weeks time!
Good luck:)

Shoes? Sit on the bed or lean against the wall at a bit of an angle! But to tell you the truth I have not been able to tear myself away from wearing thongs/flat slip ons for pretty much my entire pregnancy so I mainly do this to put socks on!
Washing is not too bad, shaving is a nightmare though isnt it!

 Oh dear, you sounds like me, I'm now sitting on the bed and putting my shoes on, or I don't bother and wear slippers everywhere :) Yes even shopping...
As for washing, dang it I keep dropping the soap and it's far too hard to then pick it up, I'm just hopping I don't fall over when I wash my feet.
They joys of the belly bump, that gets far to big! At least it's not for too long

OMG, I just painted my toenails! NOT easy! LOL They were looking so terrible! But now they're done - in clear so I don't have to do them again any time soon! ;)

PMSL :cryinglaugh: I remember this!! I used to put a foot up on the side of the bath or bed and to the side of my belly, so my belly was on the inside of my leg and very carefully attempt to put shoes on. Luckily for me though most of my pregnancy was throughout summer and I was able to just wear slip ons.

Having baths is fine; I must admit that showering is a bit more of a challenge. I am sticking with baths for now (originally was going to avoid baths as they were thought to be a factor increasing the risk of PROM, but my ob said baths are fine which is good).
Re shoes - I've taken to wearing slip-ons and bought some closed-toe ones which are ok in the cold, and have given up trying to wear boots etc.
