BCP's... and skin pigmentation...

Hi girls,

Has anyone noticed after they've stopped taking the birth control pills, that if you had any skin pigmentation (slight browning of the skin in an area) that it then disappears?

I used to get it on my upper lip on my face(very faintly mind you) and only I ever seemed to notice it! But now that i am off the pills since March, it has gone away :dance:
I was always self conscious of it but noone ever noticed it... but still I was...

It's amazing what the hormones in those pills actually can do to your skin aswell as the inside of your body hey??

It's quite common for women on the contraceptive pill to get this, so i wasn't the only one!!! I googled it.
I guess it's just another reason why i am glad I am finally off the pills after 9 years.... :)

Hey Beaksie! aawww thanks for finding me! yes, AF finally arrived.. on Sunday! Day 3 now. I'm happy it arrived as at least I now know what is going on! It was a 33day cycle.

Hey Renee, I cant say i noticed wat u described, but ive noticed since coming of the pill a few weeks ago (not ttc, just hate the pill!!) that my skin and hair have become less oily and my hair seems to be a bit healthier!!

BTW..glad AF decided to show her face eventually!! pitty u werent pregnant, but not long now till u start trying!!! goodluck

Sorry about BFN, I know you were starting to hope just a bit, but at least you can still drink at your wedding....always a bright side!
As for me, I'm currently in limbo, awaiting test results about possible Molar preg, after a m/c about a month ago. I'm not allowed to try until results come back, and perhaps for about 6mths after depending on what they say. It's Ok, I don't think I'm quite ready yet anyway, however following all these TTC threads, reminds me how exciting it all is.

Blanchie - i've noticed that too! My hair is growing faster than ever and so shiny now!?! I also have been taking Mega B vitamins as they help after being on the pill so long, they restore your b vitamins as the pill depletes them.
I'm glad i'm off pill, its nasty!!!
