Your Top 5 Cleaning Products

I was having a ponder and I wondered what cleaning products work for everyone else.
What are your top 5 cleaning products that you could not live without?

Here are mine:

1: Enjo bathroom glove and chamoise (makes cleaning the bathroom sooooo easy).

2: Cavalier Bremworth carpet stain remover (this stuff will remove anything and it doesn't soak your carpet and make things worse!).

3: Enjo mop (I don't have to buy any cleaning products and it's easy on the back because it extends).

4: Frebreeze Extra Stregth spray (I love the scent. I spray it on my curtains and couch after a big clean and it makes the house smell nice and fresh!).

5: Dawn dishwashing liquid (gets my dishes nice and clean... well, the ones that don't go in the dishwasher ;) ).

I only have 2 that I always buy: Pineocleen multipurpose spray and windex. With other cleaning products I just get whatever is on special!

~ M3 Stainless Steel Cleaning Spray (we have stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and this stuff brings it to a fantastic shine)
~ Dissolvable Eucalyptus oil.....I add it to the water that I use to mop the tiles....makes everything smell very clean
~ White King loo bleach blocks.....I can't stand "bloo loo" type lo products...and the White King ones just keeps the loo spotless without the blue rinse!
~ White King wipes.....these are a bit expensive but are ideal if you need to give the loo/bathroom/kitchen a quick clean/wipe over
~ Windex Spray adn Wipe for Showers.....we have glass shower screens and I haven't had to scrub once.............

Okay... here are mine

- enjo bathroom glove and chamios. Easy to use - love that.
- floor swifer - easy to use
- vanilla fridge spray - it smells so good!
- white king wipes - I use these for the toilet bowl and seat
- tandil ultra washing liquid - it is the Aldi brand and I love this dishwashing liquid. It gets all manner of things clean, got coffee smell oiut of my nappy bag and the sickie smell out of the highchair, works wonders!

Don't clean much to have a top 5 :lol: But I am sure I can pick something ;)

Sabco Dusting Cloth - I am allergic to furniture spray and so this is very handy.

Sabco Window Cloth - Works like a Chamois and takes all the little handprints and wet dog nose marks off my front windows really easy (when I do them 8-[ ) Also great for a streak free bathroom mirror and streak free car windows. Also used on the glass shower. (we have two of these by the way since we do so much)

Sabco Floor Mop - There is a few varietys but I have the one where you velcro the head to the actual mop. Then you can just rip the head off and throw it into the machine or rinse it under the water if you a large area to mop. Streak free as well, and no use of chemicals.

My ALL TIME favourite and I just love them to death is the CHUX magic erasers !!! They really do work. Someone else has brought out a similar product (Scotch Brite I think) but I am yet to try their variety to see how well it compares.

Cant think of a 5th yet.

1.Ajax gel bathroom cleaner(has bleach in it)
2.Vax carpet spot cleaner
3.Bio zet washing powder-makes clothes look brighter
4.Air wick citrus-makes the house smell so fresh
5.TOP PICK-my pet vax(thats the name of it)cleans carpets. couches hard floors....I love it

Hi - not really one for cleaning ... but ... i think those orange products are overrated and just stink.

I like that shower power stuff for bathrooms. Nick leaves so much crud on the side of the bath.

Have used those chux super eraser things, got some freebies but have not got around to actually buying any !

Anything pine is nice :-)

Have to try these white king wipes.

Firstly I agree about those Chux Magic Erasers - FANTASTIC!

The only only thing I regularly use is Sugar Soap. I just get the concentrate bottle and make it up as I need it.

I would have to say my Enjo products (have a complete set) especially the marble paste. I don't use any harsh cleaners anymore and I'm happy about that. I bought the Enjo stuff a couple of years ago and I think the Sabco/Oates stuff is nearly as good, SO much cheaper so will be replacing with those products once the Enjo wears out.

I can't live without a bar of Sard Wondersoap, it really is just a miracle.

Sal - thanks for telling us about the sabco products being almost as good as enjo. A lot of my enjo things need replacing and I just don't have the $$ like I did 3 years ago.
I do want to get the marble paste tho. Is that the stuff that shines up stainless steel really well? We just put in a new kitchen and the oven and dishwasher are stainless steel.

I just can't bring myself to use chemicals in the bathroom or on the floors anymore since the enjo lady told me all about how they can actually help to facilitate germs because of the calcium left behind. I wonder how much truth is in that?

Hehe I remember listening to all the Enjo spiel and thinking 'what a crock' for most of it! The proof of the pudding was in the eating, as they say, and when I saw cold water and an Enjo cloth get a bathroom and toilet clean to my standard, then I was sold on Enjo. I personally don't believe the bit about other cleansers encouraging germs, I just go with the 'environmental' aspect of not putting bleach and other nasties into the waterways and air.

I have bought some Sabco cloths and they are great. The Oates mits look like a direct rip-off of Enjo, so I bet they are just the same (after all, the big 'fibre technology' secret that Enjo enjoyed would have to be mass-marketed eventually, huh?!)

The marble paste is an Enjo product, is simply just marble that's ground into extremely fine particles. So no 'cleanser' in there at all, just a very mild abrasive powder that is wonderful for removing soap scum and other stuff that plain water won't remove. I'm not sure if there's a Sabco or Oates equivalent, though. The Enjo product costs about $25 or so, and my container still has about 4/5 remaining after two years, so it just lasts and lasts.

Sal - thanks for that. I may have to invest it some. I agree with you on the proof of the pudding. I was shocked when I was shown how enjo worked the first time. That's why I have never gone back. I even use my enjo glove when I clean at my DH's work because nothing else does a better job. I must say, tho, the bathroom glove is great but I don't really like the kitchen glove. I just use the regular enjo dish cloth on my kitchen. It seems to do the trick.

Cherie - where abouts do you get that peppermint eucalyptus essential oil? We have ants like crazy around here and ant rid doesn't seem to be working.

For now I will give you my No.1 cleaning product...then i will think of some others.

Debbie - I bought the peppermint eucalyptus oil from an aromatherapy shop here in Brisbane. You could probably try regular eucalyptus oil though ... it's got a similar chemical composition.

I only tried it because I got so annoyed at the thousands of ants invading our pantry one day .. and DH kept wanting to spray mortein in there. He couldn't understand why I didn't think it was a good idea to spray our food with poisonous chemicals ](*,) ](*,) The peppermint eucalyptus doesn't kill the ants (unless you drop it directly on them) but they don't seem to like it and avoid it on surfaces. So usually, I find where they're coming from, and wipe a trail of essential oil across their pathway and entry routes.

Great tip about the eucalyptus oil.

I also love the marble paste - it does remove the most stubborn of stain, I have used very little in the 2 years I've had mine.

LOL Chrissy - I love my Dyson too. I take it to Neil's work when I clean there because I can't go back to using a cheapy vacuum like they have there.
