I'm taking Annika to the chiro tonight, she has just been incredibly cranky, and will not eat, and I'm just really nervous about it. Has anybody else taken their baby to a chiro? Do you recommend it?

I am planning on taking my baby to my chiropractor once he/she comes along - but i would only use someone who you trust and who you know is fully qualified. In my opinion, chiropractic is very safe and is known to help all sorts of problems related to nerve supply. My chiropractor is a VERY family friendly office so that might be why i am so relaxed about it...
Wishing you all the best.
I took my little girl last week, I love my chiro as he uses a very gentle technique and about 8 people in my family go to him, this includes my two nieces who are 9 and 12yrs old now. They have seen him since day 1 too. I noticed Maya sits up straighter and higher on her hands and knees since going to him. She will go every 2 months for a checkup.
As long as you have 100% trust in your chiro you will be fine.
DD2 went when she was about 10 weeks old and was seeing her for years on and off after that. I was happy with it and DD is now 7 and has had no ill affects, we haven't been for ages for financial reasons nothing to do with the chiro.
I am thinking of finding one and taking DD - either a chiro or an osteo... Just need to get off my backside and do it, LOL!
I can give you the name of a great one in Beecroft Amy.
Well, we've been and I feel like an awful mother. Apparently Annika is the most jammed up baby the chiro has seen :(. She showed me the difference between what I should feel, and what I feel on Annika's body, and the difference was quite noticeable and obvious. I should have taken her earlier. I really should have trusted my gut instincts on this one that something was wrong, and that it wasn't purely behavioural. The actual adjustments were very traumatic for her, poor girl.
Don't feel awful, your a great mum for taking her! Most don't even know you can take your baby to a chiro at this age.
That's true Chon,
If i hadn't of started going to the chiro for myself a couple of years ago I never would have known how beneficial it can be from an early age.
I hope that Annika starts to feel better soon - all the best.
