What does your DH/DP think of your beauty regime???

Mine - thinks its a waste of time....i would love to 'let myself go' for a week and see how he likes it.

He is always saying 'you dont need that stuff', or how our money is better spent on other things. For me, its part of being a female, its important to me, ive grown up with it, so its all i know. He comes from a all male family (3 brothers) . I think that may have something to do with it...
He sighs when i get my waxer out, or i mention to him that i have to do a face mask tonight....i simply say 'its hard work looking this good' ;)!!! That usually shuts him up!

I guess because I don't really get too much time to do anything except shower my DH is always really happy for me to do something pampering. He isn't really into makeup though so if I put it on he always says I don't need it.

He thinks its very expensive but he's highly supportive!

I guess because he knew i was high maintenance when we met so appreciates the effort and enjoys the results. I dont get as much time to spend on myself as i used to but i still get my hair done regularly and do lots of home pampering stuff when time allows!

Yeah...my DH is totally okay with it...and really encouraging...

He's always looked after his skin...and always smells fantastic...so I guess I'm lucky!

My DH is grateful that I'm extremely low maintanence! he works with women who spend thousands on their appearance and thinks it's crazy. He also has clients (he is a private banker) who are in serious debt because of high maintenance wives! However... he always welcomes a pampering session if I ask for one and buys me loooovely L'Occitane products etc. he likes natural beauty... not too much makeup... I'm happy to oblige because I'm basically pretty lazy ;)

I do nothing, I'm lucky to brush my hair once a week. I have long wavy hair, so it's not that noticable luckily. I haven't worn make up in over 10 years (since my wedding which is now over lol). I don't like dresses or skirts and don't dress up.

Apparently that's a big attraction for DP to me, but I feel like I must be a dag sometimes. My XH used to have a big problem with the way I looked (he was an A***) and I think that's why I've gone to this extreme of not doing anything, it's nice to relax now. I'm lucky that I have good skin and look like I wear makeup anyway so I'm told. I don't even bother with moisturizer, although I suppose I should start now I'm getting older.

The only thing I use whatsoever for my beauty regime is dermologica face wash. It's horribly expensive ($56 a bottle) but lasts for ages. It's my one spluge and I justify it because I don't buy makeup or any other skin products, don't buy clothes unless the ones I'm wearing have huge holes lol. I also get my hair with foils 3 times a year, I visit the hairdresser 3 times a year and that's my other treat.

I dont do alot.. just waxing and excessive moisturising! Waxing freaks him out, as does me plucking my eyebrows, and he cant understand how I can possibly own as much moituriser as I do.
I dont wear make up. Ive only worn make up maybe twice, and I've been to the hair dresser like three times in my whole life.

Him- he washes his hair at least twice a day! I always thought that was funny.

I don't do much either. If I'm going out somewhere I might put on some foundation and mascara..I can think of a grand total of 2 occasions where i've worn makeup in the past 6 months.

I think the bottle of rosewater I buy every 6 months or so is about most expensive thing I'd get.

ETA: I think the little to no makeup thing is a hang up from when I was a teenager and my mum would point out people wtih bad skin and say 'look she wore makeup, thats what happens to you, you know' So its not something that was ever really encouraged/taught etc.

My dp has no probs with it, I only wear it when going out and even then I just wear a bit of foundation and mascara :) But if I we go out somewhere special and I put some on he always tells me how gorgeous I look :)

I don't know what he thinks. Probably the opposite wish I did more, wish I went to the gym, shaved more (I'm lazy) and he loves it when I get my hair done (which I do monthly) or wear makeup (which I do if we go out). He likes el natural though too. Its funny how they change over the years though when I first met Marc he bawked at the idea of moisturiser or hair dye for guys. Now he uses product in his hair, has even tinted and dyed his hair and uses clay every day LOL!

I have never asked him! I have always gone to the hairdresser regularly and done the same things I do now (wax, product etc) so I am still the same woman I was 15 years ago!

I think he doesn't think about it - it's just part of the package!

My Dh says, book yourself in if you want a hair cut, colour etc... But only when I been whinging for a few days & then I just let it go for about 6 more months!!!

He moisturises every morning & night, he always smells yummy & takes great care of himself, I wear a bit of makeup most days, he never complians or suggests I get, go or do something, unless I whinge & say I wish etc!!!!

TBH, the hours I sit at the hairdressers etc I am thinking about what else we could be doing with the time & money, so i feel like it's a waste!!!

However when in bali in Sept, he has said I should go out with my best mate whyo's with us for 2 wks to get pampered at all the Spa's & massage places etc!!!! hee hee

DP is always saying that I should take better care of myself. Not that I am a gutter snipe at all. I am just a low maintenance girl who works onthe theory that if noone is going to see my legs for a few days why waste time and energy doing them. He world in an office where all the women are highly preened and spends literally thousands on tizzing.

Luckily it means that when I do spend a bit he doesn't mind at all :)

Omg, I just realised I haven't gotten my hair cut in over a year, omg. lol. Well there is a reason. I had really long hair and got it cut short. So now I'm to scared to get it cut again in case they do it short, it's just getting long again.
Anyway, I wear make-up most days, I like it, I enjoy it and agree it's part of being female for me. DH says I don't need it but I have no idea what he's on about. Even if I don't I like it so I'm gonna keep it up!
