I'm really sorry that this is so short, but I just wanted to pop in and say that I'm still reading about you all (you busy, fast typists, you!), but I haven't had a chance to. Hi bon! I'm never in the same forum as you for long, but it's nice to chat with you when we are here.

Congrats on being an aunty again, mooshie! I bet it must be making you so clucky, having all these new bubs around. Don't worry about your stupid MIL - sounds like you're doing really well to cope with her!

Have been flat out recently. We have THREE lots of people coming over for dinner this week (tonight, Wed and Thurs). Thursday is a mini-rehearsal too - two of our friends and us are going to rehearse some music that we love (mainly ancient music like medieval, English madrigals, Irish folk music etc.) and put on a concert towards the end of the year for our families. Only one of us is a singer, but we're going to do some acapelle four part stuff, which should be beautiful. We're also going to perform an arrangement (that I haven't written yet!) of Billy Joel's "Lullaby (Goodnight, My Angel) at Charlie's birthday picnic. I don't know how I'll sing it without crying, but I'll try! Made another practice cake today (another friend's b'day) and I'm getting a bit better at it, so hopefully Charlie's will be alright! Stil bding away like crazy (sorry, tmi!) and hoping for the best. My temps are all over the place because I tkae my temo at different times everyday depending on when I wake up, so it's hard to get an accurate reading. Hopefully everything will go as planned though.

AAGGGHHH! This was supposed to be a short post! I have to go and get ready for this damned dinner party! I hope you're all well, and I'll try and chat again soon. Sorry for anyone I have missed. Hugs to everyone.

HI Kellee- sounds like you will be a busy girl this week, lol at the small post turning big, happens everytime to me. I will update you with details of what's happening when I figure it out. The lovely Christy offered to pick me up from the airport which is so nice, I wasn't expecting that. Great that the next cake was better, not long now till the big day for Charlie, and then I'll see you in the 12mth forum cos I am already there with Jemma. So you won't miss me this time.

Pee- it makes sense to go back to uni, and the bonus of being with Ryley is great too. Hope your mouth feels ok.

Michelle- how cute to have 2 babies to coo over. IKWYM about lani looking big compared, I think that's when you realise how big your own kids are, I had a gf and her 5mth old visit today and I realised how big Jess is, she is walking everywhere, I think I better get my avatar changedLOL How are you bday preparations going? I really haven't started yet *sigh* so much to do so little time, it's Dad's bday on Weds and I don't even have anything for him.

kellee - wow what a busy bee you are. i started getting tears in my eyes reading about the song you want to sing at charlie's birthday i can only imagine how you will be on the day. keep up the bd you will get that bfp soon.

michelle - howdy, have a great scrapbooking night tonight, hope you get heaps done. birthday preparations are all systems go. i actually booked the jumping castle today so that is done. have decided to get a cake made (i can't be bothered) i think i will just go a number 1 with fairies or something on it (she really isn't into anything other than spiderman or the news lol) have decided on just doing finger food, and going to the sarah lee factory and getting a few frozen lasagna's and get someone to make a few quiches and also will get some club and gourmet sandwiches done. so no webers now we can't be bothered having to fart around carving meat up and getting salads organised, so i think what we have thought of will be good. i will do a few anti pasta platters and the old cob loaf dippy thing and kiddies food.

speaking of kiddies food well fairy bread to be more specific. i was reading melbourne child today and there was an add in there for a canola spread with the hundreds and thousands already in it. i think i will get down to coles and get a tub, jay and myself can be the guinea pigs to see what it tastes like. but hey how cool fairy bread in a spread no more messy hundreds and thousand flying around - will definately be going that option for the kiddies.

well time to run the bath and get these kiddies all cleaned up and in there pj's

I had my tooth pulled out and I had an abceses (sp?) at the end of it- quite big apparently, and I needed four lots of anaesthetic... and it was supposed to last 3 hours but lasted 1/2 hour....

Michelle- sounds like you are doing well! I have organised nothing yet, but with the trip to Qld oming up I know I won't get anything done till I get back on the 22nd, still plenty of time then. I might start organising invites, look for a picture and maybe some nice paper.

Hundreds and thousands ready to go, gotta try that, let us know how it goes, mine have just rediscovered them and it's very messy! Jemma made me laugh though, she calls them Hundreds and dollars! Asked for Hundreds and dollars on her sandwich, one very confused Mummy was looking at her!

wow we must all be really busy atm - not much posting. i must admit i have been on most times but not really posting - probably not much to say (very unusal for me lol)

pee - ouchie ouchie ouchie - poor thing teeth are absolutely a nightmare aren't they. absess's hurt i had one years ago and it cost $400 to fix dunno whats worse the pain in the mouth or the pain in the wallet lol.

michelle - good on you with your pages, i am really in a scrapping mood atm and plan to do a few more pages this week. hooray for your trip to qld - we are hoping to go up in october to visit my brother and sil and neice (they are on the sunshine coast) we will probably have a couple of nights on the gold coast and visit movie world and dream world. lani's birthday is well under way re organising - final numbers of invites are 55 kids arhh and 74 adults (lets hope not all can come lol) my dh knows of someone who is doing our invites for free (he is in the printing trade) and they are little cards with a photo on them. just gotta get a recent decent photo of miss lani to get put on there and we can send them out. i am also going to $2 shops to get cheap wine glasses and things like that. i checked out the hire of a marquee (in case it rains) our pergola roof isn't on yet arrh. they are around $300 so i think we will just get a couple of tarps that will be heaps cheaper.

boo hoo - just got the enrolement forms for jay to start school next year - rang the school and got an appt next week to drop the forms in and have a formal tour - forgot to ask if i bring jay but i think i will seeing as that will be were he is going not me, so he needs to see where things are too - what do you reckon, do they allow the kids to come on the tour, i should have asked but forgot.

well i better get a wriggle on as i need to take jay swimming then we are visiting my friend so her baby and lani can play and jay can play on her sons playstation lol - i am a mean mum he still hasn't got a playstation all his friends do but him (maybe for his 6th birthday)

Hi everyone, Yasin is asleep so I have a few minutes peace and quiet. I probably should be lying down too.

Yasin keeps trying to walk but so far he hasn't gone beyond 4 steps and usually he only manages two.

Michelle, I think that Jay should be able to go on the tour. If he can't you should fight the system!! Lani's party sounds like its going to take lots of organising.
Congratulations on becoming an Aunt again. I don't think that I will be an aunt again for a long time. I had hopes that my brother and his wife might have children soon but Kate just got a job she loves so I think she's going to put it off for a few years. My younger brother is stuck on a Brazilian glamour (we call her Miss Brazil behind his back) but she is stuck in Brazil so there's no hope there.

Michelle, I'm in awe of the amount of scrapping you get done. I keep meaning to try my hand at it but I have no idea where to start.
I haven't been watching big brother but there's a guy on it called Tim who I know. I haven't seen him in a couple of years but he used to work across the road from the bar I worked in and he came in for a drink most days. He used to be a rabid socialist which cracked me up because in this day and age its just so oddball.

Pee, OMG your tooth sounds really painful. I need heaps of work done but it will have to wait for a tiny while because its hard to find a time when DH can look after Yasin for me while the dentist is open and my credit card has taken a bit of a hammering over the last couple of months. Your story makes me think that I had better hurry up and do something.

kellee, It sounds like you're flat out at the moment. How wonderful singing a song for Charlie at his birthday. I've been practising my cake making too but I've decided to make choc-cherry muffins instead so Yasin can have his own little cake.

dachlostar - yay at seeing blob how exciting for you all. how are you feeling being pg this time, any different. i do remember being prg with #2 when #1 was only 1yr old and i was very tired, but got through 8-[ . and woah slow down yasin lol sounds like he will be up and running by the time he is 1.

had an okay day - jay was a bit quiet coming home and sleepy like, asked him what was wrong he said nothing - he never tells me if anything is wrong (i do ask a lot - something i have to get over), i think he remembers alot more than he lets on about his big sister. anyway after 1hr or so of asking he was nearly in tears saying he was okay but i could see things weren't right, he then said he was cold arhhh bloody virus thing again i thought he had gotton over it but then he said he felt okay but his ear hurt. took him off to the gp and it is very red and sore but doesn't need antibiotics yet (gave me a script just in case) so just rest and panadol for him. i think the problem has been this virus has been hanging around for a few weeks and in the mornings he is fine then by about 4pm he hits a wall so he goes to kinder, swimming, auskick etc all full of beans and well then bang - so i have decided no kinder tommorrow he can lay on the couch all day in his pj's (although he has asked if he can go if his ear is better) i think he needs to rest up and nip this virus in the butt it is nasty and just won't go. so i guess i will be on bb all day tommorrow lol.

on the up side got 3 bags of really nice clothes for jay (hand me downs) off my g/friend.

Poor little Jay. I know how boys can be. It must be hard on him remembering his sister. Being a Mum can be so hard when you try to deal with your own feelings but be strong and non-biased for your kids. I hope tomorrow on the couch does him the world of good.

I am still being a sook!! but i am working heaps- I am glad that i turned down 2ic though. This workplace is so petty- they biatch about everyone and are nice to their faces- glad I am a part-timer!!

Just popping in to tell Mooshie, have you thought about getting wine glasses at Ikea? They might be cheaper than $2 shops. You can get a 6 pack of glasses for $4.95.

Sorry guys, I haven't been on, I have been so busy.

Alana got weighed yesterday, 9.4kgs. So another great gain. And finally got a great Maternal health nurse. Wasn't at all concerned about Alana not crawling. Basically said she will do it in her time. Actually didn't say anything negative at all.

As for the crawling, Alana has started to push her bum up, but only manages to slide backwards. I think she gets abit frustrated by it. So she is getting there.

I have also started to organise Alana's birthday. Only having close friends and immediate family. Honestly I can't handle the stress. I sent the invitations this week, if I didn't I would have found an excuse to not do it. So just doing a lunch.

Pee sorry to hear about your tooth. I hope the pain a subsided abit for you.

Dach yay at seeing Bubs. That was a great feeling.

Mooshie sorry to hear Jay is ill. Hopew he is resting today and feels much better soon.

janelle - thank you so much for that ikea tip - i should have thought about it doh. great excuse to get down there lmao, i seemed to spend alot of time there when prg dunno why lol. do you know when the moorabbin store is closing, i think i heard end of august - i don't mind going to richmond but it is a little futher away.

lara - woo hoo on that fantastic weight of alana golly gosh she is going great guns especially as she sounds like a terrible eater like miss lani lol. she will get crawling soon - as you said she is frustrated she is not getting anywhere so she might just think oh well in time i will do it. and yay for seeing a decent mchn they are rare as hens teeth lol.

pee - how is that tooth going - better i hope. i know all about *****iness in the workplace - worked in an office all woman for far too many years lol. glad to see af is here for you, i know it is what you wanted but bugger about it giving you grief. i am right in the middle of ovulation and have been thinking of giving dh the nudge nudge wink wink lol but then i think hang on maybe we will wait a few months we'll see, i am so up and down atm i have lost heaps of weight walking - well i hope so, my scales are broken so dunno what i weigh, i dropped down to 65kg about 1mth after lani was born and ideally i would like to be around 60kg and lose the belly flab, certainly noticed that my clothes are looser. will have to go around to mums and jump on her scales.

well here i am lani is asleep and yup jay has gone to kinder arhh, as soon as he woke this morning it was full on what are we doing today mum, can i go to kinder pllllllllllllease my ear feels good arhh what am i to do. i sent him and told him he MUST wear his beanie outside and told the teacher to. he isn't contagious anymore its just the end of the virus and he is just all blocked up and its drained into his ears. am seriously thinking of pulling him out of swimming this term (i will see if i can hold the fees over - probably not) probably next year i won't send him in term 3, will see. on a good note at the gps i got a referral to the childrens allergy clinic as i need to know before jay starts school next year just how serious his nut allergy is - we know he has a strong nut allergy (from skin analysis testing) however he has never had anything with nut in it - as i have been very careful, but we need to know if it is serious enough to need an epi pen - so i must call and make an appt with them.

Pee- women can't help but ***** sometimes can they, I think you just get to a stage where you stop listening and don't get involved, and they also ***** about you but someone has to be a grownup! Footy clubs are rife with *****es, just last week 6 girls ganged up on a gilr and bashed her. These are all girls in their early 20's (one a PS teacher), and the main reason is cos they think she's a ****, cos she is close friends with about 3 of the guys and is always with them, the fight was triggered cos 1 of the guys gave her the keys to his car to drive down and buy more wine and spirits for the footy club (the president of the club was with her and another bloke), and when she returned the girls baiuled her up and said she stole the car. Arron was even more annoyed cos everyone of them has a bf/DP and why is it their business who she's friends with. What's more she is prob friends with the blokes for the exact reason that girls are like that. Grrr.

Michelle- I don't send my kids swimming 3rd term for the same thing. Hope jay gets better soon! I want to go to Ikea. DO they have any nice desks for Jordan's age? That is her xmas pressie and I was looking for something preferably white and sort of trendy looking.

Lara- wow at the weight gain. I culd tell you how much jess weighed except for the stupid MHCN! still going on about that LOL Worse thing is the change of times letter came today, what good is that? The times changed Monday! So all that worry and Alana still put on weight, did you lose weight through stress?LOL You just can't tell can you?

Gotta go, hope fully I can get on tomorrow, I am flat out trying to clean the house, went into Jemma's room and cacked it cos last time stupid SIL was down I went mad at her and Joprdan cos they messed up Jemma's room so they cleaned it....they threw everything under her bed GRRRRR! So when she comes next time I am going to tell them they're not allowed in there. Won't that make her sad!

Stupid SIL, Mitch. She sounds like she's still a kid herself. How old is she? She needs to grow up. OMG about the thing at your footy club! How awful! We're from a country town down that way and my Dad used to be the coach of the team (about 20 years ago). Mum couldn't stand the *****iness. That's partly why they moved. Dad would love to move back now that my brother and I are all grown up, but Mum would never let him.

Lara - Yay for Alana's weight gain! That's great news. You should hold on to that MCHN for grim death - she sounds wonderful. It really helps, doesn't it?

Mooshie - hooray on your weight loss! That's really exciting. You must be looking hot now... bet DH wants to jump on you even though you're not exactly ttc yet. Bet it will make ttc easier too. Sorry to hear that Jay is sick AGAIN... the poor little thing. I didn't know that he had a nut allergy - how did you find out about that? Hope it's not serious enough for an epi pen.

Well, busy week here. We had FOUR nights of dinner parties... it was mad. The first two were with DH's high school friend who is leaving for London next week - he is 'homeless' at the moment, so we had him stay for two nights. The next night my best friend came over and we got fairly inebriated (oops!) and had a nice breakfast in the morning. Then Thursday night two friends came over for dinner, and practiced the song we're going to sing for Charlie. I am going to be such a mess. I wrote myself the easiest part because I know I'm going to be the most emotional - I'll probably cry when I'm singing it, and if there were too many big intervals I would probably mispitch my part! I am also going to have to memorise it, as if I open my eyes I will look at Charlie and start to cry. I'm such a sook. I can't believe it's his birthday on FRIDAY - less than a week. He and I are going to have a nice morning tea together at our (my!) favourite teahouse - just him and me. Then Dh, Charlie and I are going away on Friday and Saturday night to Bribie Island (some friends are on holiday and said we could use their house). Then the party is on Sunday afternoon. Should be lovely - hope it's not too windy, as Brisbane is notorious for its gale force winds in August (around Ekka time).

In other news, I started my uni work this week. Scary stuff. It's so hard to get back into it all. I think I'll do better this week with it, but I kept getting distracted and didn't get much done! We're also still ttc, bding a bit but the visitors made it difficult. I think I'm in the middle of ovulating now, so we will bd like crazy over the weekend and hope it pays off! I've decided to stop temping, as thinking about it too much only made me stress. I think as a rule I will plan just do a pg test 5 weeks after the start of my period each time and see what happens. Fingers crossed.

Anyway, the washing has finished, so I'd better go and do something productive. No rest for the wicked! Hope you're all well. Sorry for the long post!

kellee - we found out about jay's allergies when he was 9mths old, he had a funny cough he couldn't shake was almost like somthing was constantly stuck in his throat, anyway took him to the gp (not my usual one) and this dh (not dear husband lol) doctor told me he had asthma wtf i thought that is not asthma (my mum is a very bad asthmatic and i know asthma when i hear it) i asked him what he was allergic to he said nothing it is genetic so i paid around $100 at the chemist for ventolin and stuff, anyway ventolin didn't do anything so i spoke to a few friends and they gave me a recommendation for a paedetrician who is an allergy specilaist got a referral and went to him - he said no not asthma but would run allergy skin analysis testing - he was allergic to dairy, egg and nut - the following 12mths later another test and he was also allergic to dog, cat, grass, feathers and dust - all it does is bring on hayfever like symptoms especially in spring. he drinks soya milk (his cough went away as soon as he started soya and he started sleeping through the night to) and he is no longer allergic to egg or dairy, however the last skin analysis this year at my gp showed his nut allergy to be high - so that is why i am going to the childrens allergy centre to get him tested in an enviroment where they can help him once he has the reaction - hopefully he will just get a rash or something but i really need to know as he has never been exposed to nuts.

sorry for all that epic story - kellee you sound like you have had an epic week but you sound like you have just a lovely week ahead of you, hopefully it won't be windy for charlies birthday party.

well news for you girls we are now ttc hooray - my dh and i discussed it further today and he said well there is no time like the present and he said he was sick of doing the old (sorry tmi) withdrawal - so we are now going down that road (will be seeing you in the ttc thread kellee) we are not telling anyone apart from you bb girls lol and i really will wait if we do get prg for testing results - as lani's nuchual fold test came up 1 in 1800 which to me wasn't high as jay was 1 in 3500 and other friends aged 37 were 1 in 9000 so i want to get all testing done if we fall prg before telling friends and family - gosh i am a bit excited and a bit nervous and already tired thinking of a newborn again lmao but it will be nice for lani when jay goes to school next year. i am cd 16 so i think we may have missed the boat this month dh will be so annoyed if it worked first time (like with jay lol) but i doubt it very much, have a feeling i will be in the ttc forum for a while - am not taking temps just going with the flow.

was going to do scrapbooking tonight but got distracted :D so thought i would come onto bb and look around.

btw did you see the last amazing race - i started bawling when unchenna and joyce won especially when phil asked what the money meant to them and they said they were going to go and try ivf to have a baby, oh i was an emotional wreck lol.
