Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might get my DD to drink cows milk? She has breastmilk, about 6 feeds a day at the moment. Since she was 6 weeks old I have not been able to get her to take EBM. Recently I tried again with EBM out of a bottle and a cup, still no luck and she has never taken formula. Today I gave her cows milk but she pushed that away too. Should I dilute the milk in water so it's very weak? She drinks water fine out of a cup or sipper cup.

It's not really necessary for Talisa to drink cows milk. Most authorities now don't recommend it until 12mnths anyway. It sounds like she's breastfeeding really well. And drinking water is ideal At this age she (and you) are doing all the right things. A good balanced diet, plenty of breastmilk and water to drink. Although cowsmilk is a good source of calcium, most of the world's population don't drink milk after they are weaned.

I'd never thought about that, I just assumed all kids drank cows milk. Thanks, I won't worry about her not drinking milk then, will keep up the breastfeeding as long as I can though. Ta
