Charting
Hi all!
I have just started charting bought my thermometer today and start tomorrow:dance:
I am excited. But i must admit that when my dh and I decided ttc I never thought it would be this complicated. I thought all we had to do was the deed and that would be it. Silly I know. But after 4 months and lots of reading (this site and others) I realise that it is not as simple as it seems.
So I hope that I wont have to chart for too long:pray:
This is all so daunting.

Welcome, I hope your TTC journey is a short one.

Hi Kylie
Yes i am with you on the "i didnt think it could be so complicated"attitude. I am in my 11th month and still it amazes me that there is so much to do to get the timing right lol
Good luck to you

All the best Kylie, I hope you don't need the therometer for too long ;)

Hi Kylie,
I have also just started temping, although I've been testing with OPK's and paying attention to CM for months now.
I've found that by using OPK's (off Ebay they're about $12 for 20) to work out when you're about to Ov, and temps to confirm you have, as well as the clues that come from CM, it should take you no time to work out where your cycle is at.
I guess the hard part it catching that precious little egg at the right time!
I'm on CD23 today, and think I'm going to Ov either tonight or tomorrow (I have a 36 day cycle), needless to say, DH and I have been pretty "busy" this week BDing all over the place :p
My fingers will be firmly crossed over the next two weeks hoping for that little miracle!
Good luck with your charting, and if you need to bounce any questions off another beginner in all of this, drop me a line.

hey girls, mind if i join this convo?
I am coming up to my next cycle. Started temping last cycle but its a mess so I have ruled it out as my waking times were all over the place.
Have signed up for FF so am going to start charting a bit more serious this month.
Havent been an active member for long here but this site is great, has a wealth of information huh?
Good luck to everyone and hoping we all receive our :bfp: soon!

i just started charting yesterday for 1st time seriously. but hard to do as i do shift work!!
last month we went with the try every 2nd day or the month and we did ok but missed a few die to work hours etc but unfortunatly did not get result.
-
feeb - shift work could make it harder to chart if your starting times change, which I'm guessing they do. I guess though, as long as you temp straight after getting at least 3 hours sleep it should still work fine.
I'm in my 5th cycle after a m/c of a pregnancy that took 9 months to achieve. For the record we were not charting or paying attention to anything when we did conceive.... it all came as a bit of a shock as I really didn't think I would get pregnant due to prior TTC history and my age (40 then, 41 now).
I find temping really handy as you can predict when you O and also when to expect your AF from it. I usually get my AF 11 to 12 days after O and 1 to 2 days after my temp does a major dive. It's 12DPO for me now so if no temp dive tomorrow it will be time for testing.

Hay satya good luck to u!!!
i had a misscarriage last yr we had just decided a few months before to start trying and were not really trying and it happened but sisnce that nothing!!

This site is a wealth of information Im glad that I came accross it as soon as I did:)
I just hope that I can put my thermometer away soon (not to mention the fact that I find it hard to spell).
I also have an irregular waking time but have set my alarm clock for a regular time here is hoping it works.
I have signed uo to FF as well and was thinking of getting the maybe baby saliva test - but have heard some bad things about this test-
I have also followed a few of the old wives tales that I have heard (silly I know but i figure no harm no foul)
I am just an impatient person by nature and wish that it would hurry up:wall:
Good luck to all lets hope we can all but the thermometers away soon :hello:

Wishing you happy charting, Kylie, Sasha and Feeb! I like charting, my GP last year recommended I chart my temperatures when I went to see her for some pre-conception blood tests and advice (seeing as I'm a late starter, I thought it it would be proactive step to avoid wasting time!)
Wishing you all BFPs and lots of sticky vibes!
