Thrush in TWW
Hi,
I'm currently 8DPO and have been suffering with thrush for the last few days. I've been trying vinegar and natural yoghurt inside and the Canestan cream on the outside but its not been terribly successful. Advice on the net regarding use of pessaries has been rather non-commital. Just wondering if it would be ok at this early stage to use a Canestan pessary - especially if I don't put it in too deeply? Has anyone had advice on this from their gyn? The thrush is driving me crazy but I don't want to spoil my chances of a BFP this month....
Thanks

Hi Principessa,
I had terrible thrush a couple of weeks ago just before my 2ww. It was because of the estrogen overdose in my system from the IVF needles.
The only thing you can't take is the tablets, but the pessaries are fine. Being on IVF they recommend against anything even the 2 weeks before transfer as the hormones are already crazy.
Good luck...did you know thrush is a big problem in early pregnancy...

minniemouse,
Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely been using the pessary tonight  I've had thrush before and the pessaries work a treat. I just want it cleared up.... I'm so sick of it. I have heard thrush can be a problem in early pg. I've got my fingers crossed but trying not to get my hopes up.
Thanks heaps
