Well this post is 2 fold...
1/ We are looking to have our honeymoon in feb/march 2008 (2 years late but you get that!!! - at least we are getting around to it).
Any suggestions of where to go that is low season in this time for 7 days for under $2000pp in total cost?
2/ Has anyone left their bub whilst on a holiday at home with the grandparents (she will be 7-8months then)... and how did you, bub and grandparents cope?
I left my 4 year old when I went on my honeymoon, and recently I left my 15 month old while I went to Vanuatu for a wedding. I was the one that worried, bub had a great time!! I think 7-8 months is even better and Im sure the grandparents would love it!! Have fun and enjoy your time together!! At first I didnt' really like leaving my kids, but I really do enjoy it now, knowing how much they do too!!

PS Speaking of Vanuatu, mabye that is a good place to go!
i would say bubs would be fine. fiji for some relax time?? or bali and thailand for a bit more and some shopping!
thailand is an option or perhaps nz for some adrenaline (shame feb-march is high season in NZ), thinking north island

Hi PrincessMya. We left Kameron home with the Mother IN Law when we went on holidays in Dec of 2002, so Kameron was 14mths old. He got sick with a cold the day we left (came down with it that afternoon) and I felt really guilty then for leaving him. But we all survived.
We will be leaving Ashton with my mother in November, but he will have his 2 older brothers with him and Ashton will be 13mths old. I think I am more anxious about leaving my last born than what i was leaving my 1st born LOL

hi princessmya, i was thinking that maybe because you live in the whitsundays it might be cool to go to Tasmania for your honeymoon, just for something really different. it's really beautiful there and not too expensive- lots of fantastic nature and wildlife and wineries etc.
