My daughter is 1 week old and weigh 2.5 kg. When I put her in the capsule for the car her head seems to flop to her chest, I'm concerned her breathing could be restricted. Did anyone else have this problem or am I just not putting her in the capsule in the correct position?
Where abouts are you? There are a couple of authorised fitting stations around my area. I'm sure you could get them to check if it's right.

you definitely need to get a head support. Its like an upside down horse-shoe shape and it should hold her head a bit better. They are only around $20. Try kmart, target etc

Ashley was only 2.66kg and we actually drove her home 6 hours after she was born as she sat fine in the seat without any head support.
So yes definately get checked that it is in the correct position in the car...
BUt you can get the neck supports - although their chin on their chest is normal when sitting up - their heads should not be hyper extended (back) as this occludes their airway.
Yep - as Danni says definately get one of the head huggers - they fit on just with velcro and don't interfere with the straps. Will was only 2.5kg and the head hugger made all the difference to him as his head couldn't flop to the side.

My first thought was that the seat is too upright (not on enough of an incline). Did you have the seat fitted by a professional? I'd do what SAm suggests and take it to an authorised fitting station.
Yep, the head supports are great! Oskar was only 2.6kg and I got one of these within the first week cos I hated his head flopping around in the capsule. I still use it now. I got one which has 2 in it... a smaller one and a larger one. The smaller I used in the capsule and the larger in his pram. I have now popped the larger in the capsule and am using his smaller on in his high chair for comfort. You can get them at Big W and I think they're the jolly jumper brand.
We had the same issue, even though ours was fitted by a professional fitting station and checked by someone else because I thought it had been done wrong! Anyhow, I ending up getting one of those U shaped thingys (thanks Dachlostar!!) and it has been really helpful in just supporting her head and neck so she doesnt flop over.
Thanks everyone, we have 2 capsules fitted (1 in each of our cars) one professionally fitted, one not). The one that was professionally fitted seems to be on a worst angel than the one we have installed. I will look at the head huggers.
