I have noticed that Zyon's wind is worse when I eat a tasty, flavoursome meal... so i need some blander, boring recipes for the next few weeks whilst his little tummy grows & can handle yummier foods!!!
Any boring recipes????

Tracey, Jack was the same too. But the good news is it only lasted for 8 weeks or so and then I was able to eat whatever I liked again (except strawberries as that gave him a rash :( ). So hopefully you will be enjoying your meals again in no time.
I used to eat much the same things, but leave the spice out (or add it in last after taking my serve out, so that DH could have the tasty version!). So for example, spaghetti bolognaise without garlic, chili and very little basil/oregano. Also lamb cutlets with no spice (usually I tandoori them) and rice and vegies (I think I put a bit of lemon and a small amount of rosemary on the cutlets). What else? umm, crumbed chicken schnitzels with plain bread crumbs (no spice), plain sausages, maybe a roast. HTH.
Yeah in the early days I did roast beef with baked veges with salt & pepper... I would put a dash of red wine on the roast & a smear of mustard.
Roast chooks with mashed potato and corn cobs
Home made fish & chips grilled with a dash of lemon
Thanks girls!!!
I'm gonna do a roast this week, I know it aint forever, but it's hard to think of blander stuff when DH is Balinese & the girls eat what we eat...!
But I am just gonna have too... For now!!!
IKWYM Tracey. We both love spicy foods and used to live on curries etc. But on the plus side, I ate hot foods all through pg and bfing (except the first 8 or so weeks with Jack) and now Jack loves spicy food too. Still waiting to see about Thomas!
Yeah, I was gonna suggest meat & 3 veg LOL. IKWYM about DH being used to flavourfilled food. But I'm not always so accommodating LOL - he gets my boring meals too when I'm too lazy to spice it up. Altho he has his chilli on the side ready to go, so he adds on his own spices if he has to.
Macaroni cheese is another fairly bland meal (the home made version, not the packet stuff...blech)
I was soooo relieved when I learned that it wasn't the spice that upset Jovie.... I can have chilli galore & it doesn't affect her as long as there isn't any dairy in my meal.
vege soup is always good. just leave out any windy vege like cabbage etc.
I have to eat a relatively bland diet (can't have spice or too rich a food) and so all I ever eat (to DH's dissatisfaction) is bland food! You can make it more interesting though by adding different tastes and textures without adding the spice...
What about making stuff like;
Lasange (without added herbs like oregano and garlic)
Chicken Snitzels (you could have plain ones or make hawain ones - tom paste, ham, pineapple and cheese)
Spag Bol (again, without the added herbs and onions)
Vegeterian Lasange
Shepard's Pie (again, leave out onion etc. Just add diff veggies for extra flavour)
You could make chicken burgers/sandwhiches - chicken breast and snitzels are good for this. Use things like spinach instead of lettuce... You could use turkish bread rolls instead of traditional rolls/bread
Bangers and Mash (but use different types of sauges and different kinds of mash. There are lamb sausages, chicken sausages etc. You could have sweet potato mash or carrot mash instead of traditional mash)
What about chicken Kiev. You can buy different kinds (they are a little expensive though). You can get broccli and cheese, spincach and cheese etc. You could try making them yourself.
You could make different sauces to go with your veggies if you do meat and 3 veg. Cheese sauce with chicken and fish dishes etc
What about baked fish and veggies?
Some of the stir fry sauces are relatively bland - we have the honey and terryaki one... just stir fry some meat and veggies and add the sauce.
Kebabs (called different things in different states. Basically meat and veg on skewers - can be BBQ'd)
Some side dishes you could have with different meats include scalloped potatoes, baked potatoes (which might be a nice meal on their own - cheese, ham, sour cream, coleslaw etc).
What about pasta dishes? You can add pretty much whatever you want to pasta. Or there are some good prepacked stuff in the shops - especially the "stir through" ones. Chargrilled Veggie one is a hit here.
HTH Tracey and that you can get back to your normal diet soon!

The hardest part is going to be when we are in Bali in 5wks time... We always eat from the carts & I have lots of flavoursome meals & I have been craving these for the last 4.5yrs since we have been home!!!
But yep I have got some great ideas Thanks everyone!!!
Having roast Pork tonight... So that covers 2 nights always...
But I love fish & will get Dh to bring some seafood home (as it's cheaper at a shop on his wya home from work!) He can do his usuall tomato chilli sauce on his & I'll have a plain one with roasted veggies!
OOOh the Coles catalogue has a delicious looking roasted veg pasta salad so i'll attempot to whip one of them up too!!!
I have given Zy Infants Friend & it'has certainly helped too...
Thats great Tracey. I am soooo relieved I can have my chilli in abundance. With Jovie though I can't have any dairy. And I've been without dairy since January. Everytime I have something with dairy even cooked cheese she has awful reflux & rashes :( but I'm so grateful its not chilli!
Yeah I think I will see how we go in Bali & take it from there....
Oooh, I hate not eating real food! but ouch @ no dairy!
