hey im new here and have very irregulaar cycles since coming og bcp im like 7 weeks over due and am thinking about accupunture has anyone done this and what was there outcome i have had all the tests and the doctor said nothing is wrong woth me so i dont know what else to do
I had acupuncture before we concieved our DS. It took 3 cycles and we hit the jackpot! Depending on what area you are from try to see an acupuncturist that specialises in fertility, or if you are in Sydney there is a clinic called the Jocelyn Centre who specialise in natural fertility management.
What area do you live in?
One other thing to try is a herbal supplement called Chaste Tree (sometimes called Vitex) this helps to regulate your hormone levels and can assist to regulate an irregular cycle.

Your cycle can take a while to re-esatablish itself after coming off the BCP. Seven weeks is not that long.
I am trying acupuncture for irregular cycles. So far - I am still irregular but at least I am getting AF - when normally I can go 6 months without it.:)
Acupuncture helps the body regulate itself so that it will do what is normal for you - that is how it was explained to me anyway. Don't go there with expectations that you will get regular 28 day cycles with it because that is not what will happen unless your body is meant to have 28 day cycles - hope this makes sense.:rolleyes:
Acupuncturists can do things to bring on your AF so it might be just the thing you need to kick start your body into action. Make sure you find someone who is suitably qualified and experienced.

Absolutely agree with AP being helpful in establishing what is normal for your own body.
I used it coming off BCP to regulate timing but also improve flow and PMS stuff.
I have found it to be a great stress reliever too.
But definitely check they are qualified and experienced in fertility... so much easier when they have lots of knowledge and experience.
A couple of my girlfriends going through years of IVF just started seeing one that specialises in fertility, one has had success after 2 months, the other who was a poor responder, has had an exceptional result in the quality of her eggs this cycle.
