Supply Of Nappies
HI EVERYONE,
I'm booked into Redcliffe Hospital to have my baby, does anyone know if they supply the nappies and any clothes for bubs or will i need to pack this in my bags. What else should I be packing in my bags for my self and bubs?
Getting really excited now, I have 3 weeks left of work and can't wait getting really tired now chasing after the kids at work. Just want to start getting things organised when did everyone else start to pack their hospital bags?
TIA
Bec xx

I would call and check with the hospital as to what they supply. Mine supplys nappies, wipes, bath products and blankets/wraps but I need to bring clothes for bubs.
Noni's list is pretty good though and I have packed pretty much the same things. I stated packing at about 35 weeks but still wear some of the clothes that I will take to hospital so they will be thrown in at the last minute.
Good luck.

Some tips from a new mum
My hospital supplied everything including maternity pads (but they were pretty hopeless and mine were more comfy).
Make sure you pack some clothes that you want to be photographed in - you will take hundreds of photos
I also bought some really cheap undies so I could throw them away at the end. I went through about 5 pairs in the first 24 hours. Moisturiser is a MUST. Hospitals are dry places.
I packed 2 bags. One had DH and my gear in it for the hospital stay (DH was allowed to stay as long as he wanted) and a smaller bag with my gear in it for labour. The labour bag was hardly used, although the high energy snack, water bottle and singlet was great. I also packed the clothes I was going to wear after my first shower into that bag with my toiletries. The first shower after birth is a little sore! You will definately want your favourite toiletry items.
Pack your things early, then make a list of the last minute items you need to throw in. Don't forget to take the mobile phone and camera chargers either. Good luck

I agree - check with your hospy. If its a private one, they're probably more likely to supply nappies. I went public and they supplied a day's worth. Natalie was dressed in the very attractive hospy 'gown' for her first day, then after her first bath she went into her own clothes.
