no more work!
I've finished work! yeah! such a nice feeling to know I can sleep whenever and just relax before bubs arrives.
Would you believe it - i've got a cold! started last night and now I can barely breathe which is harder enough seeing my lungs are in my mouth! ha ha
Any good remedies out there?

wow just relax and injoy the time till your baby arrives

Congrats on finishing work. I am so jealous. I still have 6 weeks at work (and 9 weeks until bubs arrives). I can't wait.
Re cold-had one recently and couldn't take anything - I asked the chemist. I did use Fess nasal spray (saline and therefore safe to use) to ease the congestion and it worked pretty well. Just a case of trying to rest, keep up the liquids etc. If it gets worse be sure to see your Dr to make sure its not the flu that is going around. Hope u get better soon.

I know this has nothing to do with the thread but I'm curious CAtherine L about your elective C section. not judgemental - I promise! Just curious about reasons why if you want to share. I've heard so many different stories just want to know!

Hi Jordie,
Congratulations on finishing work. I have 2 weeks to go (but i have scaled back down to P/t now so its not that bad!)
I have just gotten over a really bad head cold. What worked for me (apart from rest) was Vicks Vapor-rub. I lathered myself in it and then went to bed, each time i got up to go to the loo i put more on. I covered myself in blankets and let my body sweat it out. This was yesterday and today I am fine!!
I would only reccommed this if Vicks doest make you sweaty/hot as you dont want to raise your body temp too much. It was horrible having a cold and being so pregnant - i kept thinking "geez i hope i dont go into labour early coz i have no enery" !!
Best wishes and take care :)

Hey, I took Catherine's advice about the Polaramine and it worked a treat...I did buy some Fess and it did jack for my nose!!! You poor thing, hope you feel better soon.
-
Jordie - Polaramine isn't to be be used in the third trimester, otherwise I would have used it! It is fine for before the third trimester 'tho.
Hope you are feeling better now
