Sorry TMI
Ok well I went to the toilet this morning to use my bowels and basically when it came out I felt this massive burning (like when you give birth) and then I had blood coming out when I wiped and its all on my undies, not heaps but not a small ammount either. Does anyone know what it could be? I'm worried I have torn myself down there :(
-
No idea but I think you should see your doctor for sure.
-
Sounds like haemorroids Renee. Nothing to worry about but a big nuisance. I also recommend seeing your GP - he can recommend the best treatment for you. I hope they heal soon for you.
-
Oh ok. Thanks for that. I will go see my dr then :)
-
Hi Renee, how did you go at the doctors?
Ooh...haemorroids aren't nice at all , i got them after the birth of my second child and they were oh so painful. You might have to get some suppositories(sp) I know it doesn't sound too good but it really helps....well did for me. There is also a cream can't remember what it's called but ask the dr.
-
Rectinol cream is great for soothing heamoaroid pain but certinly get checked out
-
Thanks for that :) Went to dr and she couldn't see any hemmaroids outside or internally, still bleeding so she is going to send me for a colonoscopy... see what happens!
-
Oh Renee, that's good that you don't have haemorroids but a worry that your still bleeding.
When are you having your colonoscopy? Goodluck with it i hope it all comes back ok.
-
Thoughts are with you, Renee. Hope it all gets sorted out for you soon.
-
Renee...how's everything going sweetie?
-
thanks :) I have dr appt tomorrow to get the referral then I will go get it done. I'm sure it all be fine :)
-
Goodluck for tomorrow Renee.
-
Best of luck for your appointment Renee.

Ok well I am on waiting list for colonoscopy (was told by dr it could take up to 3 months becuz im going public) so should hear from hospital today or so when they call to hopefully get a timeframe off them too. Got results back from the FOBT ( think thats what its called) and it showed positive to blood in the stool samples so my dr said it's most likely a polyp or something which they will cut off when I have procedure done. But gosh googling things does not help! :(
-
Agh! Hell no, Renee - googling *really* doesn't help! Never trust just any old site on something you care about :o
Hopefully you'll get in soon for the cspy, and hoping you're not in too much pain before then.

oh:(
this sounds painfully similar to me..... Must get dr to check up this week.
I hope its only hem's!!

I only just came across this post, so you may already have everything sorted but i just wanted to share what my dr told me as i had this same thing. It first happened about 2wks after i had my baby and i tried to ignore it but as you know pretty painful :( and then i bled alot (sorry TMI) and DH "made" me go to the dr.
This is what he told me:
:redface:He had a look and said it was an "Anal Fissure" which is a small cut in/on the anus, and was something to do with the muscle around there being tight or something and can be quite common after childbirth especially if you are pushing for awhile. He said Yes may hurt for awhile as it is a slow healing process as it continues to happen each time you have a bowel movement. I was prescribed with Coloxyl Tablets to take 2 at night before bed (to soften stool to allow healing) and Anusol ointment which is used internal and external to help with the pain. He said if it had not healed within 2 to 3 weeks or got worse then i would need to go back and he would organise an Anal Stretch??(im sure thats what he said) TMI---> Where they use some long thin instrument to stretch the muscle around the anus allowing the blood to flow to that area and resulting in the muscle loosening a bit (only back to normal not anything you would notice!!) and it would heal within a few days.
Thankfully it healed and i didnt have to go back. Unfortunately though it has happened twice since then but has healed with the coloxyl, so i will have to go talk to the dr as it keeps happening unless i take the coloxyl but i dont want to be dependant on a laxative, i dont particulary want that nasty procedure done either!! I hate going to the toilet though as im scared it will hurt Lol.
Embarrasing situation though isn't it?
Hope its all sorted hun.

oh ouch, that ssounds painful! Glad to hear it is all sorted out :) Yeah my dr checked for anal fisssure too and couldnt see anything, now have to see a specialist to get a colonoscopy because I am still bleeding, thankfully she got me in to specialist asap on october 19th, or it would have been december! Oh i am the same, i dread going to the toilet too...
