Hello there everyone
I have a packet of chicken drumsticks defrosting on the sink for dinner tonight. Problem is I have no idea what to do with them haha! I have never cooked drumsticks before.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanx again

ok .. it may be a bit late now .. but the spupermarkets sell chicken seasoning .. so it kinda takes like kfc
cost about 1.20 a pack and does heaps .. and we just cook them in the oven ..
OR
use day old bread or bread crumbs and add seasoning to the mix and dip the drumstick in flour then in egg and then coat in bread crumb mixture
bake in the oven on 180 for about 45-1hr
OR
dip them in flour and fry away !!
and mix bbq and tomato sauce with little hot sauce to make a yummy dip !!
we love you drum stix here !! and cook them often !!
how about bbq sauce, garlic and some honey. cover the drumstick in it and roast at 180 for about and hour, but keep an eye on them, the homey can burn if you have a hot oven..
my DH loves this on wing segments!! they go all sticky and soooo good!!!
OooOOooOo Mcormick honey soy crumb mix is fantastic and its oven baked!!!!
Otherwise a curry, apricot chicken, marinate them and roast them? Lots of things to do with drumsticks.
*hugs*

Play the drums.
PMSL, but come on, it was asking for it.
I was going to suggest apricot chicken too.
Marinate them in absolutely anything you've got then roast them in the oven! Something sticky and sweet like a honey soy ginger mix always goes very nicely, but really, any saucy thing will do.
You can also rub seasoning & oil on them (like you would for a roast chook) and then roast them and serve them up with gravy & roast veggies. YUM Now I want some...!
Only you Trish
We love drumsticks with a honey soy marinade, usually just made up or you can buy it in a bottle.
Like Lea sayed !! but I use bacon-flavoured biscits, instead of the breadcrumbs. Then you don't need that much spices!!
Or try (one-pot-cooking and giving kids a bath while dinner is prepearing itself)
place into glass bake dish - cup of uncooked rice, your drumsticks, some carrots, mushrooms, potato, and peppers. mix a packet of minestrone (or veggie) soup and hot water. Pour over and bake at 180 deg for about and hour to hour. I can't get enough of the rice!!!!
by the way ... just saw your ticker ... what are you doing cooking @ 38 wks .. can you even touch the stove will a belly that big (just saw your site?
get dh to do it ... an a nice foot rub after !!
