It sounds like it could be haemmorrhoids I think? But it would be best to get checked out by a Dr.
Try not to freak out too much by the blood - I think it only takes a couple of drops to turn the water red, so its probably not as much as you imagine.
Let us know how you get on...

you should definitely see your doc. it may be nothing, but then again it may be.

Tasha I had the same thing and it was haemmorrhoids like Ambah said. You can grab a mirror and have a look, I know it sounds gross but you can see them. I had never had them before and had to google them to see if they were it or not lol. Best to get your Dr to check it out though.

tasha, I would personally be going to the docs just to get it checked out. Haemmorrhoids can be nasty (not trying to scare you) for some people. I unfortunately was lucky enough to get them with my last pregnancy and found discomfort at times more than anything else and wasn't constipated. I think it can happen just from bubs pressing down.

Tasha, I would be checking out by the doctor just to be sure. Last week, I've been having constipation... really bad ones.. I strained in the loo for half an hour and was nearly in tears because I was so constipated for the 3 days... SOrry if it's TMI. But even though I was so constipated, I bled very little, like the size of a small coin... just when I wiped. It shouldn't be blood in the toilet bowl like you mentioned... I don't want to scare you, but it's always best to check out by the doctor just to be sure that everything is okay. Also, in the mean time, try to eat a high fiber diet, drink lots of fluid, and exercise...

Hi Tasha
I agree with the other girls, it sounds like haemorrhoids which is a common problem in pregnancy. You should go to the doctor and get it checked

I made a rule with myself prior to getting pregnant, that I wouldn't sit on the loo pushing if I had problems. I've made it my business to eat prunes or similar to keep things "regular" as the iron in the elevit makes me get the same problem. Sounds like what everyone else said, let us know if you are ok!

You don't have to be constipated to get them. I got them after my first labour, and they reoccurred when pg the second time. I was never constipated and never strained. I think pushing a baby out is enough to bring them on, as is the added pressure of a baby in your uterus.

I too got them after my first labour and then with each pg after that I had them really severely. You still should get them checked out just to make sure and they can tell you the best way to treat them, depending if they are inside or outside (sorry tmi).
I get really badly constipated also and this pg have been having prune juice IT IS AMAZING STUFF works really well, wish i found it earlier.
Good luck they are litterally a PINB.
