Collectibles
I was just wondering for those that collect things, how do you display them? In their original packaging or do you take them out?
The reason I ask is that Aaron has bought me a collectible doll & I am planning on getting more, so I wondered should I pull her out to display or should she stay in the box? I'm planning on keeping them on the top shelf of my book shelves so no little hands can get at them but was debating on what to do. I think I'm leaning towards out of the box......

if you're doing it for the pretty factor, out is fine, but if you're "collecting" keep the box - keeps the dust off them, can still be displayed - and if you happen to sell of your collection later, they're more valuable in the box

If they in in box how do you show em off? lol I would maybe keep the box but show them off. Whats the use of having them if no one can see how pretty they are, or you could invest in a glass cabinet and put them in there, keeps the dust a bit more at bay.

Sarah, its a tricky one. I collect small peices of silver and for years they have been stored away (becasue we have moved a fair bit and also if they are out on display they need regular cleaning).
I do have a few boxed pieces.
Now that we are more settled I have them in a glass fronted cabinet, but I also have all of the boxes kept safe in a plastic crate.
I am not planning on selling any of it, but I still like to keep the boxes JIC...

I'd keep it in the box.
My OB collects figurines (muppets etc) his whole office is covered in them, there are bookshelves like the ones you got Sarah, filled with boxed collectables.
He recently expanded into the team midwifery room as well :)
