Right as my hormones are going ballistic ATM from what I can only imagine is my body trying to have a period (haven't had one yet), I'm getting lots of sore blind pimples that aren't coming to a head, but leaving lumps under my skin :(
Can anyone share a remedy for these horrible blind pimples?

Maybe you can speak to a beautician near you. Hear if they can help you with a facial or something.
Be gentle with your face, and patient. I had skin like that as a teenager :redface: and I couldn't leave them alone. It makes it so much worse to squeeze them, but I couldn't stop! I out grew them, but had some flare-ups again in pregnancy. I had some success with a salicylic acid ointment that I could get OTC, and a gentle skin toner that had chamomile in it. Hope it all settles down for you soon. Not a whole lot of fun. :redface: I really think that once you've done pregnancy and labour, you should be allowed to never have a zit again! :)
Me... i'm terrible - i just love to squeeze... can't help myself, i find it somehow really satisfying (ok, Yael has just admitted she is a weirdo!)
Maybe go book yourself in for a facial? But if it's hormonal, i'ld say you just have to wait for it to pass?
A friend of mine swears by toothpaste! A dab of toothpaste on a night, and she reckons it brings them up with a head the next morning so you can squeeze them, and then they go away. I haven't tried, though she reckons it never fails...
Yael... I also find squeezing a pimple extremely satifying! I've always thought most people do, they just don't admit it :p
I do love squeezing pimples and have been very good with this batch with the hands off approach. I'll try the toothpaste...sounds interesting!
Sammi......I went through the same thing when I first got AF back after Lexie.........(I am a squeezer and a picker too BTW.......I am sure it is a hardwired grooming thing in our brains from when we were closer affiliated to apes!)
Anyway, here is my method.....at night, a dab of pure perfume or rubbing alcohol......stings like !@#$, but dries the area out.
Then the next day, in the shower, use a buff buff or similar and literally scrub the face with soap and water.
Then DON'T mositurise and get as much fresh air and drink as much water as possible.
Dab a bit more perfume on at night if required. The next day should see your face all clear.......
(All this is best done starting on a Friday night for me, so I can stay close to home over the weekend, LOL! Then by Monday morning my skin is back to peachy!))
Sam, I am sure the beauty experts will be horrified at my method, but it works like a treat for my very occasional hormonal skin......(I usually have very clear skin, so I maybe just lucky?)
I swear by toothpaste too.It does draw the head to the surface so you can squeeze it.
I love squeezing zits.

Sammi... as you mention - you have hormonal blind pimples... so there's not a lot you can do about them unless they come up to a 'head'. And although I don't recommend that people squeeze their zits - if they have come to a white head (or they are a blackhead) - you can do it carefully.
Some of my suggestions:
- take some Zinc tablets - which are good for healing/problem skin
- a professional facial will help... (ensure they do extractions if you book)
- a detoxifying mud mask will usually 'draw' the impurities to the surface. I would apply a mud mask 1-2 times a week, after a shower or hot towel compress.
- I've used a product called "zit zapper" which you can get from chemists. (skin doctors product). It's like a pen... and is mainly alcohol. Seems pretty effective.
- I would exfoliate (to remove surface dead cells) - and moisturise - but nothing too heavy. If you don't moisturise, you may block up your pores with dead skin cells... particularly if you're using any drying product (like zit zapper, tea tree oil, perfume or alcohol)
- never ever use soap on your face!!!! (sorry Lucy... I just have to say that)
I definately agree with Lucy's suggestion of drinking lots of water.
And if you have sensitive skin - I would be very careful using any drying/alcohol/acid based product as it might actually burn your skin... leaving it red raw.
Unfortunately, hormonal skin problems are caused by your hormones... and the most effective treatment is to balance the hormones.
Often pimples are caused by oily skin - and 'drying' products can be helpful for those types of pimples. But if you don't have oily skin - some products could make your skin far worse.
I swear by both Tea Tree Oil and Sudocrem :) And a little bit of picking.

sometimes, if I'm really frustrated and I'm convinced that there's something down there that can get the hell out of there...I get a very sharp pin, run a lighter under it briefly...and attempt a lance...followed by loads of both TT oil and sudocrem overnight!!

i've been known to squeeze in hope to get the darn things to a head so i can pop them properly...
Sammi...to me you don't appear to have oily skin so I would probably stay away from the benzyl type stuff...using it will only cause rebound acne when you stop. I have terrible skin as you know and I have actually found a new skincare regime through a beauty therapist and dermatologist that is so gentle but surprisingly is the ONLY thing in 17 years that has cleared my skin up...if you want pm me and I can tell you a bit more about it.
I tried the toothpaste ONCE!! DH almost had a heart attack when he saw me and I told him it was toothpaste. He did not stop laughing for 10 minutes flat!! Just imagining me laying in bed with a snickering man next to me, made me wash it off very quickly. He still teases me once in a while lol
This may not be accessible to all.... but breast milk is a wonderful cure all for pimples, bites, scratches etc!!!! :redface:

We've had a lot of people say the natural soaps are the only thing to keep their acne at bay (my DH being one of them - the reason he makes his own soap in the first place!) I know you haven't got acne, but the same principle applies :) Commercial soaps and cleansers have awful drying chemicals in them, which completely unbalance the oils, but a soft natural soap is very good for your skin :)
