3 periods in 2 weeks?

Is what happening to me normal? Please help!

Last month AF was about 5 days late... after 2 negative tests AF came much to my disappointment! Then at day 8 I had 2 days of spotting... then at day 14 AF again (like a normal perdio) for 3 straight days. I went to the doctor as I always am very regular and she said this was normal with most women and not to worry.

I was then having a read and saw a lot of reference to implantation spotting? Can anyone shed more light?
