How close did you deliver to your dates?

Hi everyone,

With my 30th week fast approaching, people have started saying oh you won't go full term, or gee being your 4th pregnancy you'll go early.

I got to wondering when have you delivered with each pregnancy.

My first pregnancy was overdue by 3 weeks (date mix up with hospital) Induced
My second pregnancy (multiple birth) was induced at 37+3 although i was already 3/4cm dialated.
My Third pregnancy was right on time i went into labor and delivered naturally the day before my due date.

I have a huge 12 yr gap between this baby and my youngest so i am guessing my body willl be treating this like a first timer .. Hmm i wish people would stop with the date guessing it's put wishful thinking about going a few weeks early into my brain :)

Sue, my last bub was my 4th and even though there is just under 3 years age gap between her and her closest brother I had not laboured for nearly 11 years. My body did treat it like a first labour once again, but I also had other reasons for the hold up.

I was so sure too that I would go early, even my midwife thought so. Bub was engaged and so ow in my pelvis from and early time and I was 3 cm's dilated before labour even began. Tehya was born the day before her due date.

So I guess what I am saying is that no one can predict what is going to happen. Bub will come when it's ready with no consideration to anyone else :D

With Jesse i was 2 days over. He was said to be a week ahead in size the whole way so thought i may go early.. not the case im affraid. I think it just depends on when bubs is ready.

I was exactly 1 week early with Oscar.... I was convinced I would go over!!

I was due on the 24th and delivered on the 17th, though I was induced due to my waters leaking.

Mine have gotten longer ;)

Mason came on his EDD.
Angus was 40+5.
Caleb was 41+1.

Mine have got a little shorter each time....

1st - 42 weeks
2nd - 41+4 weeks
3rd - 41 weeks
4th - 40+3 weeks
They never wanted to leave lol

I delivered 3 days before Chelsea's due date.

I have had 2 inductions and only one normal birth which was my 2nd and she came on her due date!!!

Despite EVERYONE telling me I would go early coz I was huge.. I was induced at 9 days over and had her (by c/s) 11 days over :lol:

my gorgeous boy was born one week before my EDD

I had everyone saying i wouldnt carry full term as i looked like i was "ready to burst", so they said. But my DS was born on his due date.

My first was 41+1 weeks & engaged at aroung 36 weeks. My second was 41 weeks, but didn't engage til well into labour as she was sideways. I'm expecting this one to go about a week over too. Just coz they seem to like it in there.

DS - 41.2 wks
DS & DD - 37 wks
DS - 36.2 wks

i'm 2 days before due date and nothing happening yet...will keep you posted!
