Uncertain gender in ultrasound

HI everyone, Hope you enjoyed your weekend. I just wanna know if you got a clear answer from your ultrasound on the sex? With both times I got a uncertain answer for both of my babies. Is that common? This time I got an answer saying "Im pritty sure its a boy." They could only see what seemed to be the testies, and was told what looked like the penis was the cord. We have many girls on both sides of our families so having a boy would be great. It would be horrible to be disapointed though.

The Dr doing our scan said she wouldn't tell us if she wasn't sure and gave us a 96% it's a girl first time... then she confirmed it with a 100% the second time we went in... Did you ask how sure they were?... are you going in for another scan later on? maybe you can check again when bubs is bigger..?

we got the thumbs up for a boy, it was very obvious for all to see..

Haroula, At my 19 week ultrasound they didnt check the gender until the end after they had seen everything else. Its legs where crossed, but she said she was pritty sure she saw the testies.(as seen in image) We are having a gender scan on Sunday in Melbourne.

definitely looks like a boy to me. i have two boys so have seen the boys bits on ultrasound a few times. your photo definitely look like boy's bit to me no doubt. when i was told my son was a boy at 19 weeks it was 100%, this third pregnancy they have said 98% sure its a girl. didnt find out with the first one.

That def looks like a boy. I can see the umbilical cord too and that is def a penis sitting out the middle of the testes and the cord is running beside it. I'd be VERY suprised if you have a girl. My 14wk u/s looks very similar to ur one and I was given a 85% chance at that stage (get confirmation this thurs so will let u know) of a boy. The fact the legs are wide apart is also a good indication. Girls like to cross their legs, boys don't cause it squishes their boy bits heheh

Katkins, All those thing you said I was also thinking. It would have to have a very swollen vagina to have 2 big lumps like that. I just wish the legs were not crossing over so you had nothing covered over. I dont know whats with the cord/ penis. I had someone say that the testies is what the scanner looks for a boy and 2-3 lines for a girl. I dont really know that much. I hate uncertain answers. It leaves me thinking for hours.

Hello everyone, I hope you had a great weekend. I went for my second scan yesterday and found that it was quite obviously a boy. He wasnt shy to show us his whole package this time. Thanks for all you feedback. I think we all know it was a boy but the cord issue was the only concern.
