Chime Necklaces?
Just wondered if anyone has / had a chime necklace for their pregnancy? I've been looking at them & am planning on getting one, for the pretty factor & also because of what they're all about. The idea is that the chime (usually in a sterling silver ball) rests on your pregnant tummy & as you move it plays a soft sound. You know the Chinese chime balls that you twirl in one hand, it's a similar principle. I'm just waiting on a postage price from Mother's Direct & then I'll be getting one.
I figure if I can give bub a soothing sound in contrast to the arguing with Zander over packing up his toys it's gotta be a good thing :cryinglaugh: And it's nice to be able to buy something for myself ;)

Oh no Blanche. I wonder what that was all about.... Hopefully you have more success with it this time.

I've got one Sarah. They're called harmony balls. I don't know if it does what they say it does but hey, any excuse for more jewellery and anyway, it's a lovely concept! Enjoy!

I've actually found quite a few different named ones, baby chimes being the main one. They originate from the Mexican Bola from what i understand. Some are super expensive though, the baby chimes are around $75 + postage.

I have one - wore it while pregnant and now on a shorter piece of silver elastic and DS plays with it. I love it !!!

Yeah, I saw some that were really expensive. I think I ended up paying about $55 for mine. It's got little stars on it. So cute. :) Will be interested to see what bub thinks of it.

Do you have Ishka up there? Or any of those stores that sell the Indonesian made furniture/clothing/jewelery. I got one from there a few years ago for about $40.

Nope, nothing like that Sam :( Well probably, but just nor around here!

A shop in Perth sells them for a lot less than $55. I'll PM you, Sarah.
