cant find clothes :(
I've been to 2x DFO (essendon and spencer) and up and down chapel st today.
I hate whats in fashion, there is nothing I can wear! Even my ever reliable Cue was just horrendous when I went in there today :(
All I want are some 3/4 or full length sleeved plain tops, and a wool/wool like vest (for wearing over a shirt). Just some nice clothes for work (business casual)
I can't find anything at all with sleeves, lots of trapeze tops and bubble dresses.
Any suggestions? I'm a 14 so somewhere that will have my size :)

Check on Ebay. Just make sure you check this measurements rather than relying on the listed size.
I hate the current fashion too!
-
have you checked out country road?? i went there the other day and ended up spending $320...
-
mmm..I just tried to look online but there is not a lot to see, I might have to have a shopping weekend I think, and skip the grand final watching!
-
Hmmm have you tried Myer? the "Basque" range always has peices suitable for corporate wear.
Otherwise what about Witchery? I'm pretty sure they go to a 14.

You could try Suzanne Gray, Millers or Big W. They might not be stores you normally shop in but they tend to have pretty ordinary clothing and go less with the trends. I find Millers particularly good for work and they usually have heaps of 3/4 tops which is what I wear to work. You just have to wade through all the granny clothes but you will usually find some good items in there.

Ezibuy had some great shirts and tops in their summer range this year. I'm pretty sure they have an actual shop down in Melb somewhere too.

RayRay,
I found alot of clothes at Brown Sugar, I think you have one at the plaza. IIt was good for work clothes that was stylish and abit femenine. I just looked at there spring range at dotbrownsugar, dont be put off by all the dresses they do alot of what you are talking about. Happy shopping

Colorado was were I got 3/4 collared shirts for work and some vests...but keep in mind, the vests might be out of season. Have you got a Harbour Town near you? I'd try there.

Thanks!
I discovered witchery online yesterday :)
I usually do like Basque and Urbane from Myer but I didn't notice much there. Our is very small I might go in Geelong when I'm there next weekend.
Sherie, mum has the ezibuy catalogue, but it would be easier to go to a store. Mmm I might need to have a postie party..
Bec, yes we have a brown suger I will have a look.
thanks everyone for the suggestions! :)
I've never been in to Millers, but I might have a look at suzanne gray and katies.

definitely check out millers...
they display the "oldies" clothes at the front but if you go in there, there is often lots of fashionable and AFFORDABLE stuff.
Try crossroads too

i was about to ask if you'd checked out the postie website hun - they have their catalogues online - i looked at the latest one recently when a friend sent it to me, but can't remember whats in it!
-
Yes BG, it's your friend I have in mind :)
I may be in the market for some new work clothes too, I will find out this afternoon.
-
no probs hun - i wasnt hinting - just commenting cos most of my clothes are Postie (the rest are undercoverwear! - i live in the sticks - nowhere interesting to shop!)

Yep i love witchery, i dont usually go online though as its too easy to click and spend ;)
Witchery clothes also have a good re-sale value on places like ebay if you tend to go up and down in sizes or change your wardrobe seasonally.
Esprit had some nice casual pants from memory too.

I know they can be exxy but brands like Laura Ashley and Fletcher Jones don't go so extreme with frashion trends. I don't like the current 80's revival styles either :(

i finally found some things at ojay at DFO. I have a pre-interview at a rectruitment agency on tuesday so it was a mad ruch to get something this weekend!
