Spaghetti Pie
Here is a way to snazz up pasta with meatsauce - it uses basically the same ingredients but "looks" different. I won't give exact measurements cause it is a bit of a throw together meal.
You'll need - pasta, meatsauce, 2 eggs, parmesan, grated cheese (any sort will do) and creamed or cottage cheese.
Make your meatsauce (or defrost it or get it out of the can). Set aside.
Boil your pasta - can be spaghetti (works really well) or sprials - generally any unfilled pasta will do. While that is cooking grease a baking dish which is big enough for your family - I use a round pyrex one that is a bit bigger than a mid sized saucepan. Grease this and set aside.
When the pasta is cooked, drain and return to its cooking pan, then add two raw eggs and about a quarter a cup of parmesan. These quantities are for about 4 people/250g pasta, so adjust accordingly. You don't really need the cheese, it just adds zing. Stir this around in the pasta then transfer to the baking dish.
Push the pasta to the edges of the dish to make a "nest" with a "well" in the centre, then plonk the cottage or creamed cheese (250g tub is fine for 4 people) and spread it in the well in the centre of the "pie". Then add the meatsauce on top and cover with grated cheese.
Bake in the oven at about 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes till heated through and bubbly on top. It goes nice and crunchy on top and sets like a pie.....
