RPA IVF - Sydney
Have any of you ladies been through RPA IVF clinic. I am currently going through SIVF and the costs are just so expensive. I am wondering if any of you have been through to RPA IVF clinic and if possible roughly how much out of pocket costs you had to pay.
Thanks & regards

Hi Max
I am seeing the specialists at RPA fertility clinic and have my Nurses interview for IVF on 29th of this month. The information booklet that I was given states the amounts as follows:
IVF CYCLE
Total cost $2902.95
Medicare Amount $1741.95
Patient cost $1161.00
Patient cost for Bloods and medications
$150 approx
Total cost to patient $1311.00 approx
CRYO CYCLE
Total cost $877.30
Medicare amount $ 693.15
Patient cost $184.15
patient cost for bloods and medications
$250.00 approx
Total cost for patient $434.15
Hope this helps. The only problem with RPA is that you do have to wait to get your nurse interview. After you have the nurse interview you can start at the start of your next cycle. i have had to wait nearly 2 months but in the whole scheme of things that is a small amount of time. if you have any other questions let me know

Hi Racey,
Thanks so much for the info. I might ring up and try and get an appointment with the nurses. Good luck with your cycle. I hope it goes well.
Kind regards,

I am currently undergoing my first cycle with the clinic at RPA, my out of pocket cost were around the $1100 mark. I did however have to pay for my provera and Synarel which my private health insurance paid me back 50% of the cost with those. I also had to pay for my blood tests but medicare payed back 100% of those. So far i havent had my scans so i dont know if there is any cost with that, i will find out next week. They are very busy and sometime the waits are really long but with the cost being cheaper its worth waiting. If you do use them just get there super early as its first in first out for bloods etc. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.

Thanks so much for the information Claire. Hubby and I have decided to give it another go at the SIVF. Hopefully this time around it works, otherwise we will have to consider RPA.
Wish you all the best with your cycle.

Hi Max,
I am an RPA success
make sure that you are registered for the medicare family safety-net - you will get money back once you reach the threshold. Just take your receipts (ie the portion that you pay) to medicare for proof of payment!
The nurses at RPA are fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone who is unable to afford the huge expense that comes with the private IVF clinics :D
All the best
