Stomach pain. Braxton Hicks??

Hello all

I've been getting pain across the front of the lower stomach. It hasn't last long, 1 or 2 minutes max. Sometimes its not too painful, it just feels very tight but other times its so so painful. Tonight I was walking to the bathroom, and ended up on the hallway floor, the pain was so bad I couldn't get up until it was over. It was probably less than two minutes but I was almost in tears.

I was wondering if it could be braxton hicks contractions? Or is it something else? I didn't think braxton hicks were meant to be painful.

when i was carrying my son i found my braxton hicks were really bad at 23 wks. being my first pregnancy i was told it was because my uterus and my abdo muscles were getting used to baby growing. my advice would be to check with your midwife or gyny just to make sure. it helped me to cope with the pain if had tried blowing with each pain.

I had some pretty horrid ligament stretching half way through - feels like you've pulled something in your belly :( It made me stop in my tracks.. A warm heated pack helped, and eventually it went away on it's own

My BH started early (about 20 weeks) but they weren't uncomfortable then (they are now!)
