IVF & Crinone Question

Hi,

I am on my first IVF cycle and have had everything going well so far. Today I got a lot of dark brown discharge in the morning and am now getting a light red watery discharge on the tissue when I wipe. I am also needing to go to the toilet a lot more often. I have never been pregnant before and do not have much experience on what is normal for a normal pregnancy let alone for and IVF cycle. I am taking Crinone gel once per day before sleeping. I was due for my first blood test on Monday but after talking to my doctor today and mentioning some spotting she has re-scheduled me for the test tomorrow morning. I am not cramping and am feeling tired in the afternoon lately. I have read that the brown chunky discharge is normal with crinone suppositiories and that spotting or light watery bleeding is normal for IVF. Can anyone please confirm this from experience. I would be especially interested if you have had a similar experience to me with your IVF and the outcome.

I didn't get the watery bleeding, but definitely had the brown chunky icky discharge with the Crinone. It's gross stuff isn't it, I think it was worse than the injections! My first IVF cycle was a success even with the yucky brown discharge, so fingers crossed yours is the same... Tiredness & needing to go to the loo more often are also good signs.

Mai, yep the yucky discharge from Crinone is normal. My wife hated the stuff as I assume all you ladies do.

The light/pale bleeding could indicate a number of things, and on its own isn't really enough to be able to let you know one way or the other. Just try and stay sane until the blood test if at all possible!

What makes the Crinone suddenly go that brown yucky colour . Every other day any discharge has been this whitish - yellow colour and today out comes this disgusting goop. My husband thinks it may be some old blood or something from the OPU procedure. I didn't see any blood until. today and then got the bit of watery stuff on top of the brown muck. I was 2 days away from my BT and thinking things are going great but today I am feeling stressed about it.

Mai, I can't help with your crinone questions - I never got to use it as I had a shocking case of OHSS after my EPU and we couldn't go to transfer (although, I do get to have one dose of the night before transfer on my FET cycles, that's bad enough! I'd hate to endure two weeks of it!). But I do want to welcome you to BB, and wish you the hugest amount of success with your blood test tomorrow.

Hang in there! We know it's hard, but all you can do is wait and hope.

Hi All,

I just got back my blood test results and the hormone level is only 34 :(. The Doctor has taken me off the Crinone and told me to come back in 3 days for retesting. They told me for the next few days this means I could have a period and the hormone levels would drop off or if we are lucky the level can increase which means the implantation of the embroy is improving. Another 3 days of stress to go and then another day of waiting.

Fingers crossed that it was just a late implantation hun :hug:

I am still bleeding and it seems look like the same normal menstrual and come down when I go to toilet. I called my Doctor and she said usually this is the normal early pregnancy and i will have next period soon. Then they will do the second ICSI. Bad news but no choice...hope the miracle thing to happen . I need to go for blood test this wed to make sure HCG drop off;-(:(:cry:
