Boob leakage help!!
Hi ladies,
My boobs are seriously driving me nuts and i'm not even BF'ing yet!!
They won't stop leaking!! I wake up at night in a massive wet patch! Sorry TMI. I'm already so uncomfortable as it is, and the thought of sleeping in a bra isn't that appealing...
So I have a few questions
Am I normal for them to be leaking so much all the time at 35 week?
When does it slow down and stop leaking (after baby arrives)?
I want to BF, so does it normalise quicker if you are BF'ing or do you still leak when BF'ing? Iykwim?
Thanks girls :D

Hi Keira, I am no expert, but it can be normal to be leaking, some women start leaking a lot earlier than 35 weeks. Hopefully that means you will have good milk production! It will eventually slow down after your bub arrives, I leaked heaps when my DS was first born, but it eventually slowed down when my body worked out how much milk he needed. So in answer to your third question, yes you still leak when bf'ing, but it will slow down. I used to turn the shower off in the mornings and think the tap was still dripping, but it was me!
HTH! Trish

i am consitently sticking to the bed sheets or to DH!! though i was not as bad with pg 1 i did leak back then too. i just put up with it and if i am out and worried i will pop in some breast pads. I leaked heaps after DD was born so much i was changing Breast pads every couple of hours but i had too much milk, which can be normal. It did settle down so dont stress.

I leaked from about 25 weeks with DS.. haven't leaked at all this time, but i think it might have something to do with already being pregnant before DS weaned.
I used to wake up with big wet patched every night - very annoying! There are these great singlet tops called "booby bibs" (i did a review about them in the product section, will try and dig it out), that absorb the milk so you don't need to wear a bra when you sleep - i highly recommend these. Or lilypadz are sticky, so you don't need to wear a bra with them either, but i found they weren't so fantastic for stopping all leaks.
And yes, it will settle down a few weeks after your girl is born.
