I used the same tie as the cuddle (tummy to tummy) but with her facing out. I did it for VERY brief (5 minutes) periods from about 9 or 10 weeks when she was awake and i was walking between a cafe and a friend's office which was just round the corner, so she could see what was happening - it was summer and she was nosy :) From about 14 weeks i did it for longer times but to be honest i found it shifted DD's centre of gravity forward a bit and made me tired quicker so i mainly carried her on my back if i wanted to let her see out.

I think Ashton was around the 6mth mark maybe a tad earlier, when I knew he had proper head control. Took him a while with a floppy head syndrome LOL. Not sure if that was cause he was a premmie. If I knew he was due for a sleep i would just face him in.

Thanks for the replies. I might give it a go soon. I know I can hold her outwards for about 10 mins & she loves it (not in HAB) so now i might try it for a short time in the HAB. I guess the downside is that once she starts to get tired I'll have to change her before she sleeps.
I think Toby was about 4 months old, but only for short periods at that age as he got tired easily.
