Have not been able to post for ages, but have been reading, umm We are having Dion Baptised on November 13th, 2 godmothers and 1 godfather ( mine and DH's brother and sisters) the twins and Rianna have friends as godparents.
He's nearly 7kg now ( just under) and Rianna turned 2 yesterday she is just under 12 kg!! He's wearing 00's and is 60cm long( big boy!!LOL) I must get his immunisation done, had it booked in but due to his bronchiolitis they couldnt do it. Has had a bottle successfully when we went to the lion king, but mum had to try a few different teats and bottles til she found one he would drink off.

Just a quick post as I'm supposed to be folding washing while DH & DD are out shopping and DS is in bed. Of course you can see my priorities!

Blake's doing well - nearly 3 months old. He's had a bit of a cold so I bought some Dimetapp today and will probably give him some tonight as he's been unsettled and I've had to feed him overnight the last couple of nights - waking at 2am again seems just dreadful!

Not much other news on the Blake front although I did end up buying a microwave steriliser if you saw my other post. It's great Shannon. I decided it was better to buy the m/wave one which was cheaper, than buying a second hand electric, as if the elec one died it would have no warranty and the m/wave one I was using worked great. Although Blake is b/feeding I'm expressing most days to keep up my supply and in case I need to top him up. My supply is all over the place - some days I can express 80mls after each feed, other days I can barely nourish him. Anyway, knowing this, the steriliser is essential for sanity and time saving. I great investment.

Vanita - Dion's growing brilliantly. Good for him, the little man! Blake is around the same size although we haven't been to MCHN for a month - due on Thursday, so who knows what he'll be. He's just so big and changed so much. It's hard to believe the time has gone so quickly.

Kate, glad to hear that Kelsey's checks with the paed went well. Have you started boot camp yet?

Gemma, how are your sickies? Are you still coming to the meet on Thursday? I guess that's when we'll get to catch up but we will have to arrange something else once school's back.

Yvette, How are you beautiful girls going? And more importantly, how are you going?

Shannon, I hope you find the steriliser as good as I do. I used it yesterday. It's very similar to the one I was borrowing from my g/f but the newer model. Works like a treat and it is so much quicker than boiling on the stove. I couldn't imagine going back to boiling.

BTW, I think that... no, I know that Blake is teething. He's starting to get 'bulging gums', soooo much drool, red cheeks and ALWAYS has his hands in his mouth munching - or my finger in his mouth. I'm sure my MCHN will say he's too early - she already said he'd start to drool and would want to put his hands in his mouth to explore. Well he's doing that but I know he's teething. Vivienne had her first teeth at 5.5 months, and seeing Blake's doing everything quicker than Viv... I'm sure he'll have them cutting through before I know it.

Time for me to go to bed... I'm tired.

Lauren is feeding like a champ now. She was syringe fed for the first week then bottle fed for the 2nd week, all ebm, then she got it together to have her milk straight from the booby & is doing really well at it now. So no health concerns now.

It will take me a little while to catch up with what everyone's up to, so bear with me. Just going to start from this page, as I can't sit here for long periods of time like I used to. :-s

Hi Fletch. Seems like I haven't seen you for ages, these last weeks have been a bit of a daze. Sounds like Zane is doing great. Lol @ the dream feed. I do that in the middle of the night too, just stick them on then straight back in the cot. Ouchies at the blocked ducts, I had issues with that a couple of weeks ago too, & had mastitis for a couple of days. No fun at all.

Hi Jo! 2 hourly feeds!? You must be so tired. Hope Samuel decides soon to sleep a bit longer at night.

Well we're going to try to get to the meet on Thursday. Expecting MCHN again today to weigh Asha & Lauren, then we'll start going to her for the next one.

Went to Chesterfield farm on Saturday & had a wonderful day, my third time out with the twins. Cuddled lot's of animals & loved it. I think the kids liked it too, lol.

My lovely post baby high has recently worn off & I'd been feeling a bit blah, so the day out did me the world of good. Life is a bit of a daze of feeding atm & I feel frustrated that I only get short periods of time in between to do anything for 'myself' like eating, showering, laundry etc. Still trying to get my birth story finished. Perhaps if I get up in the middle of the night, lol. Lola has been an angel helping us with Angus.

The difference between the babies is getting bigger every day, as Asha grows quickly & Lauren grows slowly. I'm not convinced they're identical, & wish I'd kept the placenta. I rang the hospital to speak to the midwife who examined it. She didn't even bother noting the 2 vessels in the umbilical cords, but was pretty sure there was only 1 placenta & not 2 fused together. Anyway, I've registered for a twins study on tooth emergence so we can get the free zygosity testing (cheek swab). Have to wait 6 weeks for the results though once the swabs go in. But I just want to know for sure. Not that it matters, I'm just curious. Lindsay is convinced they're identical & it's just the size difference.

Well what should I do now (after creeping up the hall & listening at the bedroom door to make sure the babies aren't crying - I must get around to getting the baby monitor out of Angus' room). Should I have a shower, put a load of washing on, or stay here & keep going with BB?

Yes we are going to the meet on Thursday. I commend you for coming too. I struggle some days to get two out the door and Viv can pretty much look after herself and yet it's not always easy. And you've got 5. I guess you're big two can look after themselves too, but even having 3 little ones... I guess we all "Just do it" when we have to. I look forward to seeing you on Thursday.

Not much other news from me except I've just got back from Coles. They have Huggies on sale for $29.99 so we raced down to get them and I have to tell you, they were FLYING OUT THE DOOR!!! If you want to get a bargain, I suggest you head there today, the earlier the better.

Hi Yvette - Welcome, glad Lauren is doing better. It will be interesting to see if the girls are identical. Hope you can make it to the BB meet. Chesterfield farm is not too far from us, DH has been there and he said it's good. A sheep was lambing and they had no idea so he had to help them.

Rachel - Blake has been ahead so far and I am not surprised that he is getting a tooth. Will see you on Thursday. What size Huggies are $29.99?

Kate - You are so organised setting a date for Kelsey's christening. All the PP clothes are great so she will look gorgeous. Yay for getting the all clear, you should be so pleased.

I put a post in the Boo Hoo room about hormones as I have been horrible to DH the last few days and I O yesterday so I'm sure that had something to do with it. Anyone else feeling hormonal since birth? I'm not teary or depressed just seems like PMT. Having a few drinks tonight and some chocolate to make me feel better. Been so long a actually forgot what I drink. Starting Lite n Easy on Thursday and can't wait.

Hi everyone!

I've been so busy lately, so am dropping in to check on you all, but not posting! Still running around today. Have been trying to organise Australian citizenship by descent for Alex as well as changing my surname on my passport. But since we are coming to Oz at Xmas and my flight is in my maiden name...I can't change it until I get to Australia...anyway...you get my drift, there are some bureaucratic hoops to jump.

Alex is going really well. We've settled into a nice routine that makes us all happy! He is still up for a feed twice a night (2 and 5) but its quick and painless now. He'll be moving into a cot this week! I'm sure he won't like it as much as his cozy little bassinette. But he's getting too big for it, so its time to shift.

I went to my first mother's group here yesterday. it went very well. There is one little girl and 6 boys!

BTW Kate - Kelsey is looking great in recent photos! Cute that she has a little bf already!

Yvette, I would also want to know about the id status of the twins if I were you. Just for clarity.

Kate, what is baby boot camp?? We have also finished our mums group formal get togethers and now it is up to us to get together. There are 10 of us, 7 regulars and we have decided to get together once a month. This might be a littel too far apart, especially as bubs change so much, but I guess if some want to get together more frequently we can.

Soph, I think I have missed the fact of your little one making it into the world #-o so..... CONGRATULATIONS! (belatedly). Welcome in here.

Well, I am just about outta here. Pup will be 12 weeks tomorrow, but I am going to start talking in months. He will be 3 months on the 6th October (3 months from when he was born..6th July). Otherwise it is going to get hard when I start talking about 16 weeks old, 19 weeks old, 25 weeks old etc etc..

Did I mention elsewhere that Pup is also sleeping through the night? YAY! He has been doing this for about a week and sleeps anywhere between 10 and 12 hours a night. He is down by 7 - 8pm and doesn't stir until 6 - 8am. Lovely!

We are going away for our first trip overnight tomorrow. My mum and I are going to Melbourne for a couple of days (going to the Gardening Australia festival at Caufield Raceway on Thursday) and thought that a 2 days trip woul be better than trying to squish everythig into 1 day. Staying with family, but know that they will want to do nothing but hold/cuddle Thomas! We could be in for a overstimulated/disturbed couple of days!!

Kate lol @ Kelsey sleeping through the footy. My house is really embarrassing too! We could start up a ‘how dirty is your house’ discussion, lol. Let me start by describing my kitchen floor……….actually, I’m too embarrassed. I wonder what Kelsey was talking to her little friend at mothers’ group about, very cute. Great that the osteo is helping your back, & lol about the carpark poo. Angus did one of those on Thurdsay.

Fletch, sounds like Zane’s doing great. Poor you seeing him have needles for the first time. How lovely seeing DH enjoy showing him off at work. Gardening? That sounds a bit energetic for a new mum, lol. Hope you have a lovely time at the wedding.

Gemma, great to see you at the meet too. Don’t think I’ve been hormonal, but have had some blah days lately. Feeling better now though after a couple of social days. Chocolate helps everything I reckon. When are you going back to work? And what sort of work will you be doing? Are you feeling ok about it?

Asha & Lauren missed being weighed this week. The MCHN turned up unannounced by mistake & I had visitors, so she’ll come back next week. Lauren’s so tiny, but I’m not worried about her any more, she’s still feeding really well. They’re going 2 to 5 hours between feeds, still nothing resembling a routine. And there’s always one period every day of about 4 hours where they just won’t settle & I seem to just feed them constantly, usually over dinner time but today it’s been in the morning. I’m feeling remarkably ok though despite the housework piling up. Having a bit of socializing the last couple of days has helped.

The twins have just settled down & I’m having some lunch sitting here in my dressing gown. Now it’ll be a toss up between having a nap, having a shower or doing some laundry before they wake up again.

Or maybe I’ll just keep sitting here in my dressing gown……
