Hello!
Has anyone heard of getting a baby christened in a garden ??? I am getting married in a Garden in a religious ceremony because I believe God's earth and natural surroundings are just as close to God as a church is...
Yes, I remember as a kid, the daughter of my Mums best friend had her baby boy Christened in our back yard. I can't remember the details exactly but that's where they held it and then everyone could stay and have morning tea there too - so much easier than other ones I've been to as an adult and had to go from the church to another venue later.
My niece got christened in a garden. It was lovely :)
My friends had their little girl Christened in their garden and it was a lovely service - their priest came from their home town quite away away to do it too.

Have not heard of it, BUT it sounds so ... angelic and peacefull and totally lovely.
My twin neice and nephew were baptised in their garden too. It was great.
I know it's a bit different but we are having Isabelle's dedication service in a park. I think it's a beautiful idea and as you mentioned - I often feel closer to God in nature than in a church. Good luck finding your perfect location!
Olivia was going to be baptised in a garden but we decided on a winter baptism so we went with a church. A garden christening would be beautiful.
Yup - our plan was for a Garden... but it poured on the day so we moved it to a Gazebo next to a pool...
