11 pounds, 12 ounces...
I am part of some mailing lists including a birth support / doula list. I just received this which I thought I would share - how empowering is this...! ( I know you are thinking other words LOL!).
"That's right birth-lovers... my last client pushed out an 11 pound 12 oz. baby boy on Friday evening and (drumroll please) she was INTACT! I am still on a natural high from this beautiful birth... But after about an hour of pushing, there he was. He even made snorting sounds at the first latch (haha)..."

Wow Kelly... 11lb 12oz... that's amazing! What a huge baby. It's wonderful what our bodies can do when given the chance.

All I can say is 'you go girl!'.
My midwife came to see me the next day after Aidan's birth and she told me she was so glad to be part of a great birth and she went home 'feeling really chuffed'. One of the better memories of those few days.....

Wow.. that reminds me of soooooooooooooo many VBAC stories ive read.. First birth the baby was deemed to big for the mothers pelvis, second birth that baby ways lots more than the first! (How happy those women are that they didnt believe the doctors diagnoses of CPD, and tried again!!!) The same in when they diagnose CPD before even a trial of labour.. when there is really no way to say how much the pelvis and muscles will open during labour...
oh btw.. CPD (cephalopelvis disproportion) where the Dr says that a womans pelvis is not large enough to birth a baby (or to only birth a 5 pounder etc).
(And.. I dont mean to say CPD doesnt occur.. just that it is diagnosed a whole lot more than it occurs).

Sorry I have to go and convert that to kilos. My god, that's just over 5 kgs! Emma doesn't even weigh that yet!
And people congratulated me on 8lb4oz intact, pfft, she deserves them all and more!
