I would get it checked JIC. They can take a swab to see if its amniotic fluid etc. I have a friend who had a bub a week ago and her waters had broken sometime b4 birth and she hadnt noticed so doesnt know when. They were concerned about and infection but all was ok. Like i said i'd err on the side of caution and go in to get checked even if just for peace of mind.

tasha...what's the update? Was it amniotic fluid?

hi guys...well i rang the maternity ward she told me to put a pad on and ring them back late yesterday arvy to let them know if it happened again and if it had,to go up there..but it didnt happen again and she said it could of been a little bit of fluid leaking but ifi didnt have any pains or anything it should be fine.Bub has been moving heaps still so yeh i didnt stress too much........

Hi tasha_84,
I'm Hoody's friend that had the leak early... i thought the same thing as you, because i didn't leak anymore it couldn't have been my waters! though it turns out it must have been. I had no pains or contractions either, i even told the midwives at the hospital when i went in for some "monitoring" for reduced movments a couple of days later but they never checked :(, if your not that worried then ok, but next time you go for you appointment ask them to check, because you really don't want an infection it's not good for bub's. Taylah was very swollen and red and has really dry skin for lack of amniotic fluid, they had me worried when she was first born because they had to get a couple of other doctors in to check her, take fluid off her chest and do some swab tests ect to make sure she was fine. she is fine but i'd hate to think what would have happned if she wasn't.
I say go get checked out regardless of what they say, it's better to be safe then sorry!!! I never leaked again after my "omg i think i wet myself" situation (it was in the middle of a shopping centre) I thought everything was fine and dandy even the midwives didn't worry, untill i actually went into labour and was told that my waters had already boken..... i argued with her that they hadn't but yep they had..... a while b4!! we are very lucky and wouldn't have be so blaise about it if we new what could happen.

Hi, I had a leak like you described when I was in hospital for monitoring.
It was amnoitoc fluid, but it was just a small rupture of the hind waters, which apparently can repair themselves. Keep the pad in and keep an eye on it;)
Good luck. Not long to go!

My waters had broken and I didnt even know, until during labour when the ob came in to break the waters! LOL! So best to get it checked out JIC..
