Check Up after D& C

Hi All, hoping you can give me some info - miscarried and had d&c 2 weeks ago today. I was supposed to go to the early pregnancy clinicn at PRA for a check up today - however i totally forgot to organise it with work.
I am going to go to the doctor this afternoon, was just wondering if anyone else has gone through the same thing, and if there is any specific reason/s why the hospital visit is imperitave, or if a doctor consultation will suffice?
Its just that it is so much easier to go to doc after work rather than have to take time off and make those hours up.

Ring and explain what has happened, I don't remember having to go back to the hospital. I do remember having to go to the doctor, and have blood tests for hormone levels.

I didn't go the clinic after the D&C. Most probably ok to see GP. Plus GP should have a report about the D&C etc.
If it is easyer on you go to the GP.

After my D&C I had to go back to the hospital 1 week later to see where my HCG levels were at (so had my blood done) then had to go back a week after that to see where my HCG levels were at again (pretty much gone so I didnt have to go back).
