It's been 2 days...
since Yasin did a poo!!!
Usually he's very regular but now he's gone on strike.
I think he doesn't want to do it in the potty or in his undies or his nappy.
What should I do?
I don't want the little guy to get all backed up and freak out about it.
He has a little seat for the loo as well as 2 potties but he won't sit on it long enough for action.
Should I give him a hot chocolate and see if that moves things along?

I would make a game of how long to sit on the potty or toilet, read a story etc... I find with Matilda she will get quite active and run around beforehand... and for ages she wanted to only poo in a nappy, not a pull-up, not the toilet etc... so maybe ask him if there is a preference and let him choose where to do one? Heaps of juice ;) although a hot chocolate will probably help things moving too.

An odd thing happened earlier this week - Jack did one poo in 2 days and Tom went the same two days without one. I have no idea why, their diets hadn't changed. I didn't do anything about it and the next day they returned to normal with no ill-effect. I would suggest that if he doesn't seem uncomfortable, that you give it another day, then maybe try some remedies. It could just be "one of those things".

Okey dokey - plan of attack for tomorrow (suggestion only!)
Breakfast - 2 weetbix with fullcream milk,
Drinks- apple or pear or prune juice
Morning tea - apple, banana (ie heaps of fibre)
Heaps of water
Lots of hope!
Alex once went three weeks without pooing..... but he was about three months old at that time! He ended up on laxatives for a year from when he was about 18 months because he wouldn't poo. The "gentle" suggestions were heaps of fluids (but not dairy), fibre, fibre and more fibre.
Best wishes.
