taking your temp
hi everyone, im new to the whole charting of BBT.
Just wondering.. (this may be a stupid question)
it says to take your temp at the same time everyday upon wakening. I usually took it at 8am before the holidays but since the holidays ive been waking up at 11am :p
does it count if i wake up and take it at 8am then go back to sleep and wake up at 11am.. or should i take it at 11am?
*confused
thanks a lot..

i would still take it at 8am.or as close as, good luck

Yeh, I've gotta agree with Bettyboop there !!! ...
I took my temp close enough to the same time each morning.
Just gotta put that alarm on if on holiday's : )
Taking my temp helped me fall pregnant with my 1st bub at 39 !!
ALL THE VERY BEST TO YOU :D

I agree with the other ladies.
DS is on holidays and the last couple of days i have just been setting my alarm for 7.00am...take the temp and then roll back over if i feel like it. Otherwise your charting will be just to out of whack as i have noticed this cycle.

my chart looks really weird from the inconsistent times i took my temp during the holidays..
my temp has been consistently low since going back to work, but no signs of CM..
heres my chart so far (hope it displays)
my first real month charting - last month was a 35 day cycle.. if its the same this month im waiting for AF to come around on the 15th...

good to see your chart, how long are your cycles normally, when do you think you O.

i dont really know when i ovulate..which is the hardest part..
i just googled one of those ovulation calculators depending on my cycle length..
it estimated approx dec 29 - jan 4.... although i dont recall any EWCM during then..
hopefully i get AF soon so i can just start again..

hello,
I was told that you need to take your temps at the same time every day, and take your temps before you get up to pee, or before you take a sip of water or do ANY activity as you are measuring your body temp AT REST.
That said, you can play around a little with the timing, eg: If you normally test at 8am, and you test one day at 8.30 you need to increase your temp by .5. So for every 30 mins increase your temps by .5, and visa versa if you need to wake earlier than 8. but the most important thing is to not do any activity at all before taking your temps...
good luck!
