newborn poo stains
We are just about to switch over to MCNs. But I have noticed from washing DS's clothes that the poo stains don't just come out in the wash - they need napisan. But I know you're not supposed to soak MCNs in napisan.
So my question is, do you need to use liners to protect MCNs from the staining? or is there another trick to getting them clean?

Are you talking about stains straight out of the machine or after they have been on the line?
There will be some stains after the wash but UV from the good ole sun will fade them out. It's quite amazing!
I think it's hard to get past that first up. We have been conditioned to expect everything to be washed out and rely on chemicals to do that for us when it's not always needed.
Sunning out also works for tomato stains.

Yeah - I did mean straight from the machine. The pooey clothes were still stained after they had dried, but I think the day was overcast.
What do you do on cloudy days with the nappies?
-
If it's cloudy and the stains don't come out, I just bring them in and use them - they will come out next time you hang them out in the sun!

Same here Cally.
I've hung stuff out in the rain as the uv still gets through. There still may be a little stain but it will fade out over a few washes.
