Who uses Nutrimetics?
I've recently been converted to Nutrimetics hydrafinity face range (the pink bottles). My skin is sensitive, I've suffered with eczema (including on my eyelids) throughout my life, so I'm always really careful about what I put on my face.
I tried Clinique for a while but it just wasn't that great for me. Plus it was $$! Then I tried some Lancome stuff, the moisturiser was amazing but it was $99!!
So I went along to a Nutrimetics party and loved being able to *try before you buy* and do a facial! I ended up having my own party - great idea if you want to buy a range of stuff as you get discounts.
I was going to get their 'comfort' range (for sens. skin) but tried the pink range instead and I love it!
But my hot tip - once you know what products you want - have a look on eBay instead hee hee. I just ordered a 4 piece pink set including a bag for $70 including registered post - that would have cost around $120 at a party!
Anyone else like using their stuff??
-
Hey Mrs P,
My mum & sisters have always been into nutrimetics, so I do use some of their stuff, mum swears by their nutri rich oil - she's been using it for years and her skin is amazing! And she's almost 70 :)
I really like their blush and eyeshadow, but don't use their skincare stuff, I use an organic range from the chemist :)
I haven't looked on ebay though - must do that!
-
I don't use any of their stuff apart from the perfume "Georgie on Ice"......it is not my signature perfume but it was literally the only perfume that I could bear to wear when I was pg.....all my usual perfumes just made me feel as sick as a dog, apart from the Nutrimedics one.
That said, I haven't been pg in a while now, so I have not used it as much.......but it is a nice "cheap and cheerful" perfume to chuck in your handbag for a freshen up at work...........
-
Lucy,
Georgie on Ice is my absolute fav.............I love nutrimetics but cant find a consultant close to me, might have to try ebay too.
-
i love their foaming facial cleanser. I use some of their makeup as well.
-
My sis is a Nutrimetics chick! Not very serious about it though. I keep sampling all her stuff. :p
I LOVE the foaming cleanser/toner too - I'm thinking about the pink range, I trialled mum's while we were all on hols together recently and liked it. But another part of me is tempted by how easy it would be (not to mention cheaper) to use the cleanser/toner and a light moisturiser.
Might ask Sis what she thinks, it's nice to know she's not trying to sell me stuff!
-
mum loves their foundation and lipstick.
I havent been to a party since high school, how does it compare to mary kay price wise?
-
Love there shower gels i buy all flavours while they are on sale!!! But got a box other week and was told they are being discontinued in current way!!!
the dewberry and melon and cuccumber are nice
-
Well I may have to retract my ebay statement..
I am still waiting for the seller to send my last purchase, it was $70 including registered post, and wouldn't you know it, literally 2 days after I paid, she's no longer a registered user. She marked the item as payment rec'd on the 15th of Jan, no contact since, I've emailed several times asking when she has/will send it. Nothing.
And because she is unreg now, I don't think there is anything ebay can/will do. And because she told me it would cost $5 more for paypal, I didn't do paypal, so no back-up there. ARGH!!
I've never had this happen before. So not impressed and SO not telling DH!!
-
Oh no! Can you email ebay anyway and just check if there's anything they can do? That's awful, I hope things turn out okay. At least report it, maybe ebay need to take another look at their policy on de-registering, so that it can't be done with payments or parcels outstanding.
-
That bites big time! Hope it turns up for you :crossfingers: or you can get it resolved quickly!

anyone who doesnt mind sodium laurel sulfate burning their skin
... (edit) and the lead in their lipstick is o so good for you!!!)
-
Well, different strokes for different folks. :) Considering the minute amounts I use of things, I'm not overly concerned - though it's a different story with my kids (I figure they've got the rest of their lives to do things that aren't good for them).
I'd say my biggest chemical problem anyway would be that thing I have for frozen coke...mmm...
-
having pure straight "coke" would actually be better for them than "coca-cola"
-
Hehe, I know, I've heard some fire dpts in the US use it to clean blood off the roads after an accident? Crazy. Though, I don't love coke from the bottle as much as I like it from Maccas. And the best by far is frozen from 7 Eleven or Maccas.
Well, sorry about going OT there! Anyone who knows me (hehe even remotely) seems to know about my frozen coke problem. :p
What do you use for your skincare/makeup then Catrionalee?
-
Catrionalee - I'm interested in what products you use too. My skin is very sensitive but I've had no problems with the pink range at all. I think Nelle is right, some products that work on some don't work on others.

hey guys,
i stick to organic stuff pretty much.
Sukin (totally in love with this brand at the moment!! and my skin has never looked better) its very good value - eg organic and cleanser is only $10!
Alchemy
Akin
Natural Oil Workers
Living Nature
Avalon Organics
Kosmea (great baby range)
Personally, if i read the ingredients and dont understand what it is, i really try to avoid it.
The chemicals used in certain brands (eg johnson and johnson, even the baby range) have been proven to cause blindness. Sodium laurel sulfate is the ingredient which makes most commercial shampoos/hand washes lather. Its also the ingredient that makes car wash lather..... and so many people wash their babies with it! (simply because we are not told about this!)... how do you feel about washing buuba with car wash? i bet the ingredients are pretty much on par.
also, most conditioners make your hair silky and shiny because they use silicone..... ask any car panelbeater if they use a car wash with silicone in it.... they wont even put it on their car, yet we put it in our hair!!!
i just wash my hair with my natural shampoos and conditioners, then use either sweet almond oil or olive oil in it, with a natural hair glue (brand is giovanni, from health shop). and its silky sweet
hows that for a ramble!
