Drying BBH
I know that putting BBH through the dryer will shorten their lifespan, but I am so tempted to do it! We have had days of rain & I've had to resort to sposies because I've run out of MCN.
How bad for the BBH is it to go through the dryer? Any other suggestions for getting them dry?

Ezz, this has been a big problem for me lately with all the rain we have had up here. Mine have been through the dryer quite a few times now and don't yet seem the worse for wear. I use the low temp setting. I do much prefer to line dry them, but sometimes there is no choice. And mine are bamboo so they can ages to dry.

Yeah, mine have been through the dryer. The only thing I've had happen is the elastic in one of them has been wrecked. But that could be a combination of going in the dryer and the occasional vinegar rinse. I don't think it wrecks the fabric so much, but just the elastic and things.
I usually have them hanging on an airer in the house when it rains, but they take so long to dry, if they're not ready by the time I need them, I chuck them in the dryer to finish off.. about 1/2 hr.

Thanks for your feedback!
Liz - Once the elastic is gone, is the nappy useless, or do you still use it?
I might have to give the dryer a go on low heat. I have ordered more of the BBH, but they won't be here until next week. After a whole day of sposies, I am so over it! Calvin has wet through the Huggies twice today :(.

I still use it.. but one of the girls in the cloth nappy thread said that repairing it is easy.. I've just gotta have a look and see if I can replace the elastic hehe. Might get mum to look at it.

Mine have been through the dryer too. And no doubt will again this winter because I don't think I'll have built up my stash much more before then...
The demonstrator at the party I went to said she always used the dryer for hers!
