I've got a few recipes for marshmallow, what about using mallow whip instead? You could melt them but they tend to loose the air and becomes like a thick gooey mixture (but that might be what you are after I'm not sure).
I need a proper marshmallow texture Cai, where do you get Mallow whip from???
If you could post a recipe that would be great!
1C sugar
1C Water
1 1/2 tbs gelatine
1/2 tsp vanilla
Put sugar and water into a saucepan, sprinkle gelatine over. Stir over heat until sugar disolved and mixutre boils. Reduce heat, simmer 7 minutes: remove from heat. When mixture is nearly cold, add vanilla, beat until thick and fluffy. If desired colour with food colouring.
This is from my mums collection. She used to make it all the time. I'm guessing you could use any flavour essence you liked....
Do you whip it Kim?????
Yes beat love - with the mixmaster lol.
LOL that sounded rude didn't it???
no no- i actually had a shocker and posted it before I finished typing. I thought you may have read the initial version.
I did read the initial version, there were no instructions and no vanilla either LOL
You can buy the mallow whip or whatever its called from the supermarket. It comes in a jar, I think I saw it near the nutella. Its white, and just spreadable sugar! But delicious so I am told (by an American, who used to eat it by the spoonful as a child with her brother apparently).
